Reserve fixtures at Harstdown

There are a number of things behind Saturday’s issues at the Thamesmead Town Reserve team match.

 

1. The fixture was featured on the official club website – on the Reserve / Academy team pages but at the time that information did not feed through to the front page. It does now. Also, the Kent League Division 1 fixtures have only very recently been published. The Academy team has its own pages on the website – just like the first team. 2. In terms of the bar being shut, that was due to staff shortages through illness.

 

3. As for the lack of food available, the key to the stock room was actually at the first team away game (not on its own you understand) so that was simply human error!

 

The directors would like to apologise to supporters for the string of events that led to Saturday’s shortcomings but rest assured that the issues identified very much represent the exception, and that the availability of food, drink and the promotion of Reserve team matches has already been addressed.

 

The bar will be open at 2.30pm for Saturday’s visit of Erith Town.
