Combined Counties V Wessex League

How do you think our CCL teams will get on against the Wessex League teams.

The interesting game for me would be Fareham v Cove as they will be about par with each other. Hartley Wintney have a good chance of winning their game but unfortunately I think Bournemouth(poppies) and Lymington Town will be too strong for the CCL Div one sides. I do wish them all the best of luck though.

Hampshire FA Senior Cup

Farnborough North End(CCL1) v Bournemouth(Wessex Prem)

Hartley Wintney(CCL1) v Blackfield & Langley(Wessex Prem)

Lymington Town(Wessex Prem) v Eversley(CCL1)

Fareham Town(Wessex Prem) v Cove(CCLPrem)

i think the wessex is a stronger league in general as more stronger teams and i would imagine more teams are paying money ( which doesnt always guarantee success i know) , poole town are far too good for that league and are probably a comfortable southern league maybe even southern prem team, fareham , bournemouth poppies , bemerton heath , winchester city (this season) , are all part of the strong group , and all the rest tend to have to fight each other for places , not sure there is much difference between the mid table wessex and mid table com counties prem as cove proved against alresford, but apart from chertsey town , camberley and badshot lea , i think the top group of wessex teams would be hard to beat

We (Cobham) drew (to an injury time equaliser) and then comfortably beat Alresford by the same score as Cove did. If they are a mid table Wessex side then IMO the CCL is a stronger league overall.

The CCL has a pretty poor record against the Wessex League in FA Competitions.

In the last ten years the score is CCL 17 wins, Wessex 47 wins and 13 draws (including this seasons results).

Hampshire FA Senior Cup

Farnborough North End(CCL1) v Bournemouth(Wessex Prem) 2 - 4

Hartley Wintney(CCL1) v Blackfield & Langley(Wessex Prem) 1 - 0

Lymington Town(Wessex Prem) v Eversley(CCL1) 6 - 1

Fareham Town(Wessex Prem) v Cove(CCLPrem)

I predict a 2 - 1 victory for Cove tonight in their tie. Fareham to play some squad players that have not been featuring regular in 1st team !!! Cove ??? No JJ !!!

Cove will do fine without Johnno tonight. Lots of players wanting to prove their worth to Koo.

Not sure what the hell i will do without a proper football fix midweek. Last night at Ash was very entertaining and well worth the £6 entry although i'm sure i could have got in for free having played over 350 games for the club. Due my testimonial any day i'm sure!!

May have to stay in with the wife and watch telly!!

You mean your not travelling with the squad for moral support?

How about Guildford v Camberley?

One thing i hate doing is watching when i could be playing. I dont mind if i'm injured and unable to play.

I will earn many brownie points by staying in with the strife tonight. You never know when i might need those points!
