A brief report on this one:

 

SOUTH MIDLANDS LEAGUE DIVISION 1

Crawley Green 0-3 Berkhamsted

Admission including programme £3.00 Ham & cheese roll £1.00

 

A somewhat one-sided game that threatened to boil over on a few occasions (why do these free-for-alls ALWAYS happen on the far side to where I am? with both sides being niggly enough to warrant yellow cards (and in the case of Berko's No. 5, an actual red).

 

The football seemed to be all Berkhamsted, although to their credit, they did allow some of the CG players to touch the ball and (gasp) actually have a few shots at goal. The Comrades are clearly stamping their authority on this division and it'll be a surprise if they don't make it two promotions in a row.
