Could've, probably should've, taken a point. Charge hit the bar, Luke missed a sitter and Mattata should've done better with his chance. Referee failed to give a penalty and opting instead to give a free-kick outside the area. It wasn't even close to being outside! If Sutton are the benchmark then I feel we're not too far away. Need to bounce back Tuesday.

Going away to Kingstonian and Sutton is difficult enough without giving away sloppy goals like the one yesterday. Thought we looked a better side once we had made the subs, wouldn't be surprised to see all three start on Tuesday. From what I've seen so far this season, we look a different team when we've got a bit of pace in midfield/attack - in the first half we looked a little slow with Collis etc getting run out of it. Thought "Ced 7" had a good game, as did Charge.

Bit of player news. We have a new keeper, Will Viner from Woking with Ashlee Jones going in the opposite direction (permanent or loan?). Getro Kilapi and Andre Humphries-Modeste both on a months loan at Harlow.

Another game we probably should have got more out of. I was actually thinking the ref was having a decent game and then he has his one big decision to make and completely bottles it.

 

We've given away another bad goal and it's cost us the game. I know football is a game of opinions but I just don't see how Collis is the best option in midfield ahead of the likes of Street or Hall - That said with big Ced sitting out three games now maybe we could do with Dave in there for those games.

 

In fairness I don't think Junior knew too much about the one that hit him and I also thought we looked brighter when Hall and Matata came on. Danny Charge continues to impress and to be fair I thought we put in a pretty decent effort all round.

I must admit I was surprised to hear that we had let Andre go to Harlow.

 

The good news is that we've got a couple of tough away games out of the way. Hopefully any squad movement issues can be swifty addressed and we can get back on the winning trail soon.

I don't know why we don't start with Matt, we always play better when he is on the pitch. I have now seen all the games bar the Croydon one and I don't think we should have lost a game yet. I was not impressed with Sutton, they played like an away team! I agree that Charge looks very lively and was my man of the match yesterday. I'm gutted really that we have gone to Kingston and Sutton and lost when we should have come away with 2 points in both games. I wish Liam would get going.

I find that a strange one as well. I see the star man for Harlow yesterday was a certain Andre Humphrey-Modeste! Whatever the reason, I certainly hope he returns.
