Another good cup win against higher league opposition for South Park. Molly 11 on the scoresheet again with 2 and Mottram were the scorers. Our next scheduled league game is 25th September.

Thanks to all at Chessington for their hospitality.

Chessington & Hook 1-3 South Park AET

Park continued there excellent start to the season with another higher league scalp, on a slopping pitch each team had a half each after a very early scare and quality double save by Wastell in the Park goal it was one way traffic as the Div1 side had numerous chances but only took 1 into half time. Second half Chessington made the slope count and had alot of the ball but created few chances but the one they did was a quality strike into the top corner. Extra time was over as quick as it started!! Once a early penalty was converted there was only going to be one winner as the Div 1 side were sharper, fitter and added a third to kill the game off.

Well done to all at South Park, no complaints from us we really never got going and the right team won the game, little dissapointed inhouse with our performance as we are capable of a lot better but you earned the result through grit and work rate and to be fair some tactical nous. Keep that up in the league and you should be seeing us again next season. Your next round game against Guildford could be a battle and a game the neutrals should have a look at. Good luck to you.

Great footage TRS. I wish we had someone doing this every week.

Fancy a job at Egahm ?

Thanks Steve. Shall I ask my agent to get in touch to talk terms ;)

Judging by some of the comments on here i will probably get done for an " illegal approach" !

Thanks Chessy, we knew we had to work harder than you if we wanted to progress. Must admit was happy to see Bennett without a kit on as he always causes us problems. League is obviously a priority, but getting our 1st wins in FA and Vase has given us a massive boost.

Egham 3 Epsom and Ewell 1

A deserved win for Egham who put in a good all round performance compared to our teams poor one.

BUT ( and I know both teams were guilty of this )

As Smudge says above the level of moaning by players of both sides on the Egham side club officials towards a referee whose only errors was leniency and a desire to keep the game flowing was utterly dispiriting . The idiocy of some of the comments from the sidelines was jaw dropping .

Also a comment from the Egham 5 when a poorly cleared punch from the keeper lead to our penalty was very disappointing re people properly smashing through their opponents was particularly disappointing .

I don't mind losing ... I'm used to it by now but seeing that kind of thing week in week out is going to get quite tiresome

Hi EEFC,

Thought Saturday was a close game played in a fair spirit from both sides.

Depsite some of the comments i heard i thought the referee was excelllent and was "old school" in the way he let the game flow.

In my opinion i did not think the players from both sides were that critical of him ?

In regards to the elbowing incident which caused some heated debate in the stand i think it depends on the view you had.

I didn't think there was any intent from your player and the cut caused was purely accidental.

After the game the player in question came over in the bar and seemed a decent bloke. He apologised to my player for the accident.

Don't see that very often ?

All in all a pleasing day for my boys just need to get some consistency going.

All the best.

Steve

Thanks Steve ,

I'm glad the player injury seems to have been sorted out amicably and hope the lad is OK . I've said my piece re the atmosphere and comments at the game and won't become repetitive. I'll only add that I don't like "really injure them next time " comments and if I hear our players doing it I would dig them out for it too. I do wish officials would have a word when they hear it because it's certainly ungentlemanly in my book.

Only other thing to say is your recent improvement in form seems to have stopped the moaning on here from within your club. Have a good season (bar one game)

Bookham v Ash was really a close call, with Ash snatching the 3 points in the last minute.

I can't say much more than that, as DFC had a free day, and our Committee and Under 18's Management were in deep conversation during the game.

It WAS nice to see Lightning McQ signing autographs after the match, though !!

Gassy, that is a good result considering your loss 5-0 loss to CB hounslow on monday? what happened

? new players? as eversley are flying this season!

Daniel (eversley chairman) what was your opinion on the game? deserved?

Another half way line goal for your captain gassy! one maybe fluke, two well that cant be can it!?!

Is Eversley's pitch still as good as last season?

Hi,

I was away this weekend on a stag do, so I didn't actually watch the game.

From speaking to those that were there, a draw was perhaps a fair result. Fairly even game, although I'm sure Sheerwater will be disappointed to concede late in the game.
