Gassy, that is a good result considering your loss 5-0 loss to CB hounslow on monday? what happened

? new players? as eversley are flying this season!

Daniel (eversley chairman) what was your opinion on the game? deserved?

Another half way line goal for your captain gassy! one maybe fluke, two well that cant be can it!?!

Is Eversley's pitch still as good as last season?

I think we were just knackered Monday and I thought CB played exceptionally well. We played Tuesday, Saturday (65 minutes with ten men) and some lads played Sunday. CB didnt play Saturday and their Sunday side is the same as their Saturday side, postponed their game, so they were as fresh as daisies. Still, they still stuffed us and I think they are really lively.

We played well today and I thought with a bit more luck up front we could have killed the game off. But we didn't and that's football. But I was very pleased because we had 4 first teamers missing and still produced a good performance.

Eversleys' pitch was great and I think they are a very welcoming friendly club. A huge difference from some other clubs we played recently who complained their way through 90 minutes, trying to intimidate players and referees and then having the front to complain that we were whinging. And that was from their chairman!

so you had a weakened team from last week or did you bring in some different players for this game? going by what is said on here there always seems to be nothing but good things said about Eversley which is a breath of fresh to here! as you say some teams arent quite as welcoming! Were Eversley missing any players?

I wouldn't say we had a weakened side just a different side. We had our old right back playing and he made a big difference at the back but apart from that it was players from our normal squad.

Eversley had a couple of players drop out just before kick off so maybe that weakened them but really I couldn't tell you if that was their normal side or not.

Camberley Town 2-0 Chertsey

Deserved win for Camberley - 2 1st half headers from centre-back Hardy

Deserved win??? Not sure........

To be fair it was probably a nil nil game all over. Neither team actually created any real goal soring chances in open play, Camberley scoed twice from set pieces, but it is often said set pieces win games. Once they had the lead Camberley defended solidly, two strong banks of 4 and no way through. Suppose we must give them credit for that, but game was boring.

Ref was in my opinion worst I have seen so far, looked well out of his depth and both teams giving him grief should have told him he was useless. One blatant hand ball in the box by a camberley defender who then took the ball on his nose ended in a free kick to camberley, he got the wrong player at least twice (from both teams) when brandishing cards.

Still, despite that overall Chertsey need to do more to win this league, alhough camberley certainly wont......

That is what I like to see CTFC being all nicey nicey until they lose. Several people have now said Camberley are not good enough to win the league. Long may that continue :)

Warlingham 2-2k knaphill good result we had keeper send off just after half time and had 9 men last 20 after injury. I'll let smudge give the match report !!

Fully deserved point for your team today Brunty. Even with 10 then 9 players you worked ya socks off. A bit better from my boys today just cant seem to gett into the game early doors and it takes ages for us to start to play. It seems we play better against 11 men. Same situation last week and couldnt kill Sheerwater of. We had plenty of the ball in second half to beat you.but you dug in and made it very difficult. Thought you started game very brighly I liked your 11 but no end prodnuct!! Not a bad tackle in game but I think 9 bookings!!!! As for you Mr Brunt thought you were one of best players on park along with Jack Ball your 9. Good luck for season.

Raynes Park Vale 3-0 Westfield

We are absolutely shocking. - missed a good early chance and went behind against the run of play but from then the home side pretty much dominated and their confidence came flooding back. Our defending was laughable at times second half and once again we offered little up front. After all the pre-season promise reality has hit home and theres a lot of hard work to do. Fair play to RPV and i'm sure they will kick on from this and move up the table. Some very impressive players on show too particually the ginge right winger and the strong lad up top

Thanks TRS for the excellent highlights ... It's good to review the key incidents in what was a game with a few controversies to make sure I saw it right . Didn't see a lot wrong with the Jarman "goal" that would have made it 2-2 but as the whistle was clear and early and our lot didn't moan he must have seen something . Similarly the player injury in the first half looked more like the accidental collision the ref interpreted it as.. than what the Egham chairman was mouthing off about .

Re my previous post about the atmospherics at games it does come from the top. The previous game to this I saw was last Sunday on holiday Bolton v Birmingham and both of those teams spent most of the afternoon chasing round after a referee concentrating on every mistake he made rather than their own.

Overall what it showed though was Egham playing better than us. Need to pick it up on Tuesday to get us ready for the cup on Saturday.

Thanks tucks felt like a win to be honest after the game. I agree with u that jack ball was our best player he's only 17 to. You have a good side that will be difficult to beat. The 9 for you is a decent player. Yeah no bad tackles but was a very competitive game we just had to work our socks off second half. Would have thought the pitch would be in better condition considering it's a ryman ground. Anyhow good luck for the season mate and will see u back at redding way !

Wood 0-0 Sandhurst.

We never get a goalless draw at Wibbandune!!!!!!!

Fair result I hear.

Was a close game but I reckon the CW manager was happier than I was at the end! In the last 15 mins we hit the inside of the same post twice, had (in my biased opinion) a blatant pen turned down and the CW keeper made a fantastic save from a close range header. Hard fought game though and I was pleased to get our first clean sheet of the season against a side who are very dangerous going forward and who will have a decent season this time I reckon.

Full credit to camberley, after they scored the two set pieces they shut the Door and double locked it! The key to winning big games against Chertsey is keeping Tom oregan quiet and camberley for long periods of the game didn't even give him a sniff and the times he did get through no one was on the end of his final ball. Overall a dissapointing day for Chertsey but we were never going to win all 40games so this had to happen at some point! Chessington and hook Tuesday night!!!

Egham v Epsom & Ewell

Another good game with many chances.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qhy3-UyC54Q

Excellent quality camera work, commendably fair editing, and confirmation that talking to the chairman while the game is in progress means I miss stuff, which can be fairly crucial when writing match reports!

Egham 3 Epsom and Ewell 1

A deserved win for Egham who put in a good all round performance compared to our teams poor one.

BUT ( and I know both teams were guilty of this )

As Smudge says above the level of moaning by players of both sides on the Egham side club officials towards a referee whose only errors was leniency and a desire to keep the game flowing was utterly dispiriting . The idiocy of some of the comments from the sidelines was jaw dropping .

Also a comment from the Egham 5 when a poorly cleared punch from the keeper lead to our penalty was very disappointing re people properly smashing through their opponents was particularly disappointing .

I don't mind losing ... I'm used to it by now but seeing that kind of thing week in week out is going to get quite tiresome

Excuse Me,eefc supporter I never said a word, but the video shows there was a lot of swearing in the game.Mewy one for your blog.
