I'm told by people who have seen them that they're nowhere near fit and thats the problem. Teams are just much fitter than them. It's quite an old side now at Takeley, a few of them have been there a good while..... but they are certainly not another Beaumont.

What is happening at Takeley this year. Five Games No Goals. I have watched them twice already this year and they remind of the Beaumont side of a few years ago.

They look like they have kept most of last years side so cant understand it.

I must admit I was surprised how off the boil they are so far this season , We have always had tricky games over there . But I'm sure they'll come good at some time . :ubad:

There r a few reasons 4 our bad start 1 where not as fit as we should be thats down 2 people not training hard and training not being as hard as it should 2 the rub of the green ant going our way even like sat where 1 nil up playing well r keeper gets sent off that changes the game as our centre half has 2 go in goal which never helps. And finally there was 1 or 2 players coursing unrest in the team now they have left the team should start 2 get some sprite back as if it werent going right they could cos alot of trouble hope 1 of the boys who have left new club no what there letting them selfs in for

Only take one or two bad apples mate, experienced it myself years ago!!!

 

So how comes your all so unfit this year.....have you got new management?? Whats different with this pre-season?? Doesnt make sense?

I was there Saturday. It probably summed up what is wrong.For 20 mins there was only one side in it, but even then two or three players were biting at one another -- it was all a bit odd. They could easily have been two r three up by then. But they did fade pretty alarmingly -- fitness would explain a lot.And really the sending off was just a culmination of a huge discontent that was going on. Had it not been for off-duty policeman in the stand, the aftermath of the dismissal could've been a sine die--------- clearly something wrong. Having said all that, one could look at the Takeley side and think there were four or five players at least who would be decent additions to most senior league squads. I like them as a club and I hope things improve.

I saw the home defeat against Enfield and have to say the keeper that night never put a foot wrong. And enjoyed banter with the crowd. Good bloke/good keeper

was you the man that came into the pub that was talking to keith ?
