As for 2nd division sides, Winslow came close to causing an upset against the mighty Tring Athletic, Bucks Students Union put out Buckingham Ath and Risborough beating division one pace setters Berko, wicked result.

Mursley 2 weeks ago seeing off Stony, not bad for a division that many feel is full of sh1t teams eh

And of course Padbury United

division 2 teams are highly underrated, last season when berko were there id say there were 4 or 5 teams who would have easily finished top half of division1. As i see it Padbury had a good team last season and if there have been additions to the squad then they will be a hard team to beat this time round, good luck to them i say.

thanks for the good comment mate very rare for us on here on any wear in fact . we have added about 7 new players to squad this season 2 beeing keepers so hopefully it will be good season for us . good to see you lot doing well in div 1 you will be back in prem soon were you should be good luck for rest of season .

fingers crossed mate, berko can be their own worst enemy sometimes. probably see you lot in the prem in a couple of seasons if you all hold together then they will find out about divsion 2. lol

Cliff van der Rhodes. :)

Never mind that childishness, how come there was only a paltry 12 spectators at Coles Park on Tuesday and I gather only four of those paid. I expect you still put the price of a one day bus pass down on the expense sheet.

Wow, attendance of 12 with only 4 paying, imagine if you had experienced such a large crowd at any Tokynton Manor home game last season, with all that dosh you could've retired to your holiday home, Costa-Del-Public-Loo haha.

On a serious note Cliff rumour has it with the large numbers you experienced coming through the gates of your home ground at Hanwell last season, you could have saved yourself a fortune in rent and instead played all your home games in an empty Oxo cube box......with plenty of room to spare.

Rhodes...I appreciate as a top London spy (aka peeping tom) from your secret trap in a public lav you lead a colourful and eventful life, but if you could just for one minute find time to call someone at Harefield so as they can answer your question as to how many first teamers they started with on Tuesday night then it would be greatly appreciated.

It's important for us to know we beat their kids rather than their first team coz at the mo our players heads are swelling that much we wont get through the changing room doors tomorrow, 'so come on punk, spoil my day'

Oh and if you don't reply Cliff then we can assume that someone at Harefield told you to f off and mind your own buisness.

Also rumour has it you were an influence in George Michael's career....any truth in that Rhodent haha

Harefield line up:-

Banks Cohen, J.Charlton Moore Wilson Ball Stiles R.Charlton Peters Hunt Hurst....

Ref Off Ref - I thought you had already posted Harefield United's line up from last Tuesday. The truth is you are hyping up Padbury's 6-1 win at Preston Park out of all proportion, don't get me wrong as it was an impressive win however Harefield played pretty much a Reserve team whilst taking the high flying Division 2 visitors far too lightly

LOL....poor old Rhodes, not in the loop, no credit on his phone in order to phone Harefield, no mates and no idea.

Yep we'll take your word for it then that we played their reserves and won 6-1, had it been their first team probably would've been 10 so lucky for them eh......Rhodent.

Unfortunately your both right. Harefield played a team of trialists, reserves and some of the new first team recruits. A team completly different from what started the season and its still changing.

Hopefully there will be a more settled side very soon.

But that said Padbury did look a very useful side and did look better than a div 2 side.

good luck in the next round.

Risborough Rangers 2 v 1 St Margaretsbury....

A great result for the second division side against their premier division opponents, having already put out first division pace setters Berkhamsted in the previous round it's nice to see another side doing an Aston Clinton from last season.

Only downside is St Mags, which will be according to Rhodes, probably fielded a team consisting of trialists, under 7's, OAP'S, couple of women and some walking wounded, I mean no way will he accept you beat a full strength prem side, same as he wouldn't accept Padbury done the same at Harefield in the last round.

Only curious thing is, he never did back his claim up.....how weird.

Up next for Risborough in round 3......a home tie against first division opposition in either Bedford or Wodson Park.

Mmm, must be then a woman on crutches LOL, yep know who you mean, even if he is honest and said St Mags had a full strength side, it's Rhodes word that's final, can't go upsetting the seat sniffer now.

ROR Fair play play to Risborough they had four chances all game and took 2!

St Mag should have been out of sight in the first 20 minutes, we did score one but hit the bar and had numerous chances to put Risborough to bed. Nailed on pen as well in the first half wasnt given.

Like i said thou fair play to Risborough..........ive been around division 2 and this is the best ground ive come across..........they made us feel very welcome, the chairman being a top bloke who is working to get the club some floodlights.

Good luck to them in the next round.

Couldn't agree more, when we went there this season was made very welcome by their people, their ground too is nice and compact and if successful with lights worthy of a crack in the first division.

We won 2-0 and though we dominated the game the clearer chances did fall to them, if in time they can get the ground up to scratch then I think they have more than enough to mount a serious challenge for promotion.
