Alresford 0-4 Cobham (Rideout, Baxter, Russell x2)

Before I go into what happened in the game i'll just say a quick thing. I dont support a premier league team. My main team aren't very successful (Woking) and its bad news after bad news and the three years i've been at Cobham have been full of ups and downs but tonight was amazing. The reward or treat for all the hard work over the past few years. Tonight we were exceptional.

We started off slowly. Alresford looked the better side. Then we scored. Shane Rideout with a stunning cross/shot that beat everyone and went into the back of the net. We rode our luck, Rouse made a fine save and then got amazing lucky as a routine ball slipped through his fingers and hit the post and landed back into his hands. Then we scored again. Another scrappy goal but we will take it. And then again. Even at 3-0 up i'd say they had the better of the game. Second half was a different story. We dominated from start of the half to the end and played some fine football. We won every header, every 50-50. Tristan up front worked his socks off and nobody could mark him all night. Rideout dominated and he was just impossible to pick up. Centre backs Anderson and Rousell were solid as rocks. What a night. Bring on Chipstead, one of the biggest games in the clubs history, and then who knows... Maybe just maybe Woking at home...
