So what happened??

Close game between two very evenly matched teams. They started better and we looked nervous for the first 30 minutes or so but improved after that.

 

We created the better opportunities but neither goalkeeper was really tested. They took their chance when it came along so were just that bit clinical in front of goal.

 

Defences were very much on top. Their centre backs played really well whilst Wardy and Dumas were excellent for us.

 

Would have said a draw would have been about the right result.

If we had taken our chances (or at least hit the target) then we would have undoubtedly gotten something from the game. However, I can't remember their keeper having to make a save, and we were never going to win the match like that.

 

We did create plenty of chances, and on another could easily have scored 2 or 3, but it wasn't to be.

 

Let's hope that shooting training is on the agenda tomorrow night!

Agree with yellows views..

 

Although there goal came after a clear foul on Alex Rhodes whilst we were attacking, shame the ref was the only person who didn't see it.

 

We played some nice stuff in patches and pulled there back 4 around with some excellent movement up top. We also defended very well.

 

It was one of those days in front of goal with Rowey and Healsey missing chances they would normally 9 times out 10 put away. We could have been 2 or 3 up by the time they scored the winner.

 

A typical Criag Edwards side who played little football, rather looking to hit long direct balls and use the height from set pieces..

 

Signs are very promising for us, i have enjoyed the football we have played so far and im sure thats a positive for the coming months.

 

Have to say a excellent turnout by the yellow army who totally outsung the Ricay fans.
