Ground Improvements.

Good to see Farleigh commenting on Worcester Park's improved changing room facilities.Just as a matter of interest how many Clubs have Turnstiles,or totally enclosed Grounds in the Premier.This is a requirement for promotion to Step 4.

You're supposed to have a fully enclosed ground to play in step 6, let alone get promotion to step 4.

Out of all the step 6 divisions I think it's just the CCL, Hellenic and a couple of teams in the Western League and Sussex League who still fall foul of that. It's the same as floodlights. In some parts of the country they used to be mandatory down to step 8 until the FA came up with the national system which has limited them to step 6. Again - it's just a few clubs in our league, the Hellenic and Western league that haven't got them. The rest of the country are years ahead of us in terms of facilities but then we all know our local councils can be very unhelpful when it comes to trying to get these things put in.

These days the FA are forcing leagues to relegate teams who haven't got the correct grading (is that why Coulsdon were relegated against their will?). That's wrong in my view but then again you could say the clubs have had a few years to get the facilities, we've all got to do it so why should those that haven't done it get away with it any longe.

 

Clubs in the Premier (to my knowledge) without at least two revolving turnstiles which is the requirement for promotion:-

 

Ash

Banstead

Bookham / Dorking

Chessington & Hook

Colliers Wood

Cove

Guildford City

Hanworth Villa (? not sure about them - only been once and I can't remember)

Horley Town

Mole Valley SCR

Raynes Park Vale

Sandhurst Town

 

I'm not 100% certain on some of those as they may be hiding a turnstile or two somewhere - I'm thinking of Banstead, RPV & Meadowbank.

one of my moans is, clubs that dont put up todays teams. you can bet that the programe is way out. also i thought that they made clubs have a p a system, yet most still dont inform the paying public, who we are watching. was at a game at colliers wood last season, when a chap walking his dog, came out of the trees at the far end. walked down the touchline, through both technical areas and out the gate.

i think teams who visit feltham will be surprised, as you can imagine bedfont green, have spent a lot of time and money on the ground. im informed dougs next trick is to divert air trafic on match days.

We always put the matchday teams up and we are now using our tannoy system.

The dog is part of our security system to keep moaners away!

YES - The second turnstile is on the opposite entrance side to the one we currently use. If anyone would like to see it, I'm quite prepared to arrange a conducted tour, for a modest fee, of course !

We have TWO turnstile entrances at Meadowbank.

 

Each entrance leads to TWO turnstiles.

 

Hence.... DFC have FOUR turnstiles.
