This story was in todays Telegraph Sport -

' Croydon Athletic have been thrown into chaos following the claim Majeed made to undercover reporters that he used the club to launder money.

The Ryman PL and the FA are investigating the affair...............'

'Tim O'Shea, manager, was unsure whether Croydon would be able to play this saturday's game against Concord Rangers.'

'Croydon claim to have had no suspicions over Majeed's dealings during his two years as owner and deny any link between the current

allegations and the imprisonment of the man who managed the club's finances on Majeed's behalf. Dean Fisher was jailed for three years last

month for embezzling £500,000 from his central London advertising agency to prop up the club'.

Wonder where the money came from to buy Jermaine Wright (amongst others) during the summer ??!!

Let's be honest, this kind of thing is not that unusual in football. Fisher in the 80s were run by a well known drug smuggler.

The world wide media attention this story has generated involving corruption, match and spot fixing on a massive scale involving millions of pounds and punters worlwide with

Majeed, agent to seven Pakistan players centre stage, ranks a bit higher than a drug smuggler from Bermondsey.

Oh, the Arifs were fairly important players in the British underworld.
