Margate v Maidstone

Dont read anything into the scoreline. 2 perfectly good goals ruled out and a flukey own goal when our centre back was off receiving treatment. We will still do well this year.

Playing a homeless bottom of the league club.................should still be 3pts

Listened to Gate radio, seemed to me Margate Dominated possesion without ever having the killer instinct.2 points dropped not a point gained.

Spot on Ian,Spot on.Daylight robbery (to a degree) Exceedingly infuriating & frustrating.

However we lacked a killer touch (created enough chances) against a very poor outfit & we really should be putting sides like this to bed.

:wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:

Oh well at least now we know now that we aren't the WORST team in the league.

First 15 minutes I personally thought it was going to be a three or four goal route but somehow Maidstone hung on and in IMO our first goal should of stood, but thats another story. As for "their" goal which I think we gifted them they really didnt look as though they were going to trouble us and for sure even they seemed content to take the 1 point and defended as such for the remainder of the game. WW's goal was fortunate but nothing less than we deserved. As for Maidstone if that was their first team then relegation beckons and going by the amount of abuse their fans were giving to their ex-players now being "paid" by us then they totally deserve the demise that is coming their way. 2 points lost but will enjoy taking three points off them when we go to Ashford cos they really are the whipping boys of this league. The Blues do seem to be shaping up a little late but hopefully will come good i9n the next few games - UP THE GATE.

Amazed to see anyone other than D Marsden collect the MOM, he run his socks off and was at the centre of everything we did well today, looked head and shoulders above everybody else.

Well pointed out and I totally agree, by far the best player on the pitch and deservedly the "Supporters" Man of the Match. How a bigger club hasnt snapped him up yet is beyond me and Im hoping we can keep him below the radar for as long as possible cos otherwise the lure of big money/contracts and he'll be gone.

Marsden has shown what a good player he is by stepping up 2 divisions, and not looking out of place, a testiment to the lad.

Wayne's goal fortunate Andy??? If you had been down that end you wouldn't have said that, the guy got the pass from Osborne, looked up and saw Walker off his line and curled a great shot over him! Well done to him I say, I do agree that Marsden played well yesterday though.

Left footed too if I recall correcty!

The ball that reached him.... eventually.... wasn't originally intended for him (I was bemoaning the actual pass at the time & maybe this was the fortuitous bit), however it found it's way to him, he looked up & with his left foot, hit a cracker. Good opportunist goal by Wayne.
