I think I was quite close enough.

Great picture, perhaps you should become a photographer rather than a reporter.

do you have the next pic that shows the keepers left hand claw the ball away.

HTFC.I was too far away to be certain, but if your keeper clawed the ball away as you say,why did the Ref give a goal kick, not a corner.

The Official DFC match report.

Dorking produced a gritty performance at one of the favourites for the Combined Counties Premier Division title on Monday, losing to a goal in the 35th minute to Chertsey Town at Alwyns Lane.

Dorking have now played 3 of the top teams in the division away from home in a difficult run of matches, Epsom & Ewell and Camberley having already been faced. Dorking have been struggling of late with a run of injuries robbing the side of 4 players, and captain Sam Sawyers was still missing from this game. Chicks though are moving to bring in the extra reinforcements the side clearly needs, Pete Buckland moving quickly to bring in local striker Leroy Hyett and defender Julian Van Gelder, who has joined from Merstham having previously played for Bookham and, briefly, Dorking under Tony Webb.

As predicted Chertsey came at Dorking in the opening 10 minutes, Dorking living a tad luckily in this period as Chertsey sought the early goal. Once more, John McBride was in good form, and some slack finishing, determined defending and alert keeping from McBride saw Chicks keep Chertsey at bay.

Gradually Dorking gained in confidence, full backs David Suchy and Dan Evans looking once more assured, while in the centre of the defence, captain Jon Tyler was a steadying influence along side the impressive Tyrone Oliver, Oliver and Tyler more accustomed to midfield duties but pressed into emergency centre back duty due to the injuries suffered by the team.

Dorking started to venture forward, as the game started to open up, but 10 minutes from half time, Chertsey did make the breakthrough, Chicks caught on the break as the home side scored the goal their possession deserved.

Dorking though kept their shape, and in the face of a dominant Chertsey side, did not fold. Van Gelder had come on to relieve yet another injury as midfielder Chris Attree was forced to come off on the half hour mark.

Dorking did force some half chances during the game, strikers Martin Waldren and Toby Fitzgibbon doing their best to relieve the pressure on the Dorking goal. Both sides perhaps had legitimate penalty shouts turned down and Fitzgibbon came closest for Dorking in the 55th minute as his half volley went about a foot wide of the Chertsey goal, but in truth Chertsey were more than good value for their lead and could and perhaps should have extended their lead.

That they didn’t is a good thing for Dorking to take away from this game, as all players put in a real shift for the team, especially as Dorking went down to 10 men when Dean Cox was forced to leave the pitch in the last 10 minutes, Cox having to attend hospital for the injury.

Team:- McBride, Suchy, Tyler ©, Oliver, Evans, Reid, McCann, Cox, Attree, Fitzgibbon, Waldren:

Substitutes:- Van Gelder, Jeeves, Maneh:

Hanworth Villa 3 - 1 Egham

Completely agree Foxyhills.

For those of you who mocked me for saying we need defenders 2 weeks ago. Today and at Chessington proved my point.

Awful defending at times, dreadful.

Please Steve, do the right thing, either get us some defenders or walk away!

1. Yes, our defending was crap today.

2. So what use would Baker walking away do? We can attack, and score goals, we just can't defend, so I have to agree with you on that front.

3. Have you identified yourself yet, or are you still another nameless [****!!****] without the balls to face Mr Baker? At least he and the team can read about what I feel about their performances though my match reports. Today we were crap. If we play that way on Saturday we will lose. However, I still feel that this team, under this manager can do a lot better.

Cant disagree with that Fergie. I am more frustated than anyone else with our up and down form and i am doing everything within my power to get that right.

We worked very hard in training last week on defending and Saturday against a very weakend Ash side we looked a lot stronger defensively wich resulted in a clean sheet.

This gave me confidence going into yesterday's game against Villa. Thought we looke quite strong in the first 20 minutes and after scoring missed a couple of real good opportunities to

take a further lead. However as the half went on Villa looked the stronger side and should have lead at the break.

Second half we were crap ! Did not keep possesion, did not work hard enough, showed no desire and our defending was appalling.

Hanworth were deserved winners and could have won by more. I wish sometimes supporters could hear what was said in the changing room and then certain individuals would realise how much it means to managers.

Just to keep the real supporters in the loop i am currently trying to sign 3 players. (2 defenders and a midfileder/wide player) Also back for Saturday is the return of Luke Muldowney and Aidy Barrance.

Karle Andrews is away for 2 weeks and Tom Martin is available for next weeks game at Raynes Park.

I am very confident with a couple of additions and hard work i will get things right and get us back up the table were we should be.

Steve

Thanks Steve - see, Sarnie Supporter, a manager with more cojones than you!

South Park 2-0 Warlingham

Penalty & A Header both inside the first half, Same story for warlingham dominated but just couldn't find the net.

Haha, if that was you dominating a game i wouldnt like to see you up against it. 1st half Park could of had 5 or 6, your keeper should of seen red for hauling down our player when just about to tap into a empty net. Dont want to see anyone sent off but this was just a obvious one . 2nd half Wars were the better side but our emergency keeper didnt have a save to make and both sides looked tired to be fair. Look forward to Tucks view as he left rather sharpish think he had a tip at Epsom

Should have stayed Molly....bloody horses!!! As for game yet another poor display from my team 3 bad games on the bounce and our early season promise has ben hit by holidays and a lack of confidence. South Park to their credit showed no hangover from ther fantastic result Saturday and totally dominated the first part of game they created a couple of decent chance and deservedly took the lead with a ( hotly disputed penaly!!!) ha ha......Joking! And yes keeper should have gone ..referees defence there was covering defenders. We created very little and i thought your midfield was excellent in first half 2-0 at half time we came out brighter second half and had a good go We had decent chance on 50 mins and should have took that and another couple half chances before we prob had best chance of game falling to ginge on edge of box. South created very little second half but damage was already done. Half each in my opinion difference was the finishing and the early exchanges. One poor factor was man in middle Mr Ireson. Sent my report in and not going to comment on here but YOUNGER and FITTER officials are needed in this division.Top 5 finish I think for South Park and The Best of luck to them against Cray.
