Hi Lens,

 

Seems like all you have done on your description is moan and complain about everything,

I have complained about both sides equally. But Lets face it Horley are hard going to set the CCL on fire.

 

To be honest I thought Horley played some good football in the first half and probably should of been 4 or 5 ahead, as for the penalty appeal I was the closest person to the incident(work that one out) and the keeper got a good hand to the ball before taking the player so if that all you gonna moan about I think it will be a very long season for you.

Unless you were the keeper or the Croydon Player you were NOT the closest person ... I was ... about 6 feet. Also even a member of you own bench said it was a penalty! (Work that one out).

 

As for lack of players for you, we had 3 reserve team players and a 16 year old from the youth team( who played for 85 mins)

 

How people see the game so different.

 

Never mind, but there is a long way to go before April.

I hear Hartley Wintney got beat 4-0 by Whitehawk. Unlucky HW. If you'd only held on for another minute on Saturday but i'm sure you know that. You did the CCL1 proud.

South Park 2-0 Warlingham

 

Penalty & A Header both inside the first half, Same story for warlingham dominated but just couldn't find the net.

 

 

Haha, if that was you dominating a game i wouldnt like to see you up against it. 1st half Park could of had 5 or 6, your keeper should of seen red for hauling down our player when just about to tap into a empty net. Dont want to see anyone sent off but this was just a obvious one . 2nd half Wars were the better side but our emergency keeper didnt have a save to make and both sides looked tired to be fair. Look forward to Tucks view as he left rather sharpish think he had a tip at Epsom :smilewinkgrin:

Westfield 0-2 Lammas Another good win for us boys against a well organised Westfield, we started brightly and was able to go ahead through the in form george baldock who grabbed his sixth goal of the season. Charlie Smith then doubled our lead after finishing a loveley move!! We had chances to maybe go a few more ahead before the half. Second half saw westfield come out stronger but created little apart from a header off the top of the bar and a goal line clearance! A solid performance to top of a good weekend for us. Hospitality also good!

If thats all you can claim is a possible penalty kick times are hard.

I reakon I was about 1 metre behind the keeper, if you were 6 feet away you must of been the REF the one you kep complaining about.How can someone from the bench give a view on the half way line!!!!

I hope someone else was at the game and perhaps thet might have some views but to be fair you can not see much 50 metres away in the stand.!!!

Oh no one within a meter of the keeper. ;)

 

Seriously .. it was a penalty and you escaped it due to the complete lack of ability of the official. simples smilewinkgrin.gif

 

He made quite a few errors in the game both ways, but sadly he'll still be refing games the rest of the season.

 

We lacked finishing .. Two strikers on the bench injured and three defenders out ...but still there is always next week!

Completely agree Foxyhills.

 

For those of you who mocked me for saying we need defenders 2 weeks ago. Today and at Chessington proved my point.

 

Awful defending at times, dreadful.

 

Please Steve, do the right thing, either get us some defenders or walk away!

 

Why would you want Steve to walk away??? He's the best manager we've had for years!! As I've said before a Real Sarnie gets behind the club. It was only two days ago we won 6-0. No pleasing some people.

Hanworth villa 3 v 1 Egham great derby day victory for the villians could have been more woodwork saved egham twice . very disapointed in egham especially in defence and being an ex egham player they have got problems

 

I think your results this season suggest you have problems as well.

From our (my) point of view really dissapointed with today. We were truly awful first half - second to everything and whilst Staines didnt create the chances (our keeper didnt make a save all afternoon) their domination warranted that first half they fully deserved their two goal lead. First was a neat finish from a cross and the second just before half time was a wonderfuil team move.

 

Second half we were much better hitting the bar and keeper making a couple of decent blocks. Also had an effort cleared off the line- I think one of the problems today was that we like all sides at this level struggle to get a full side out on Bank Holiday Monday,however all our absentees were strikers and when our last remaining one went off injured 20 mins in it was always going to be tough. Saying that even with a full compliment we wouldnt have won and Staines were the better side - we perhaps deserved a consolation . Good to see Lammas staying for a beer afterwards too.

 

Now i've never really been one to moan about refs and i've left it to the end as it didnt affect the result at all as he was awful for both sides I feel temped to put his initals but i wont- he turned up late and one of his assistants had a pop at him and the whole morning/afternoon went downhill from there. Some utterly shocking and bizzare decesions and neither benches or players appreciate being spoken to like six year olds.
