Thankyou Siggy for giving your time to come back to the Blues and give it a go , shame you did`nt manage to put one in the back of the net for us but your commitment was always 100% for us on the pitch , best of luck in whatever you do and may the next club enjoy having you there .

Up the Gate .

Squad pages fully up to date with the latest changes.

I reckon the squad changes are made just to see if you can keep up ;)

There was a tricky moment when I realised I had forgotten to put the code in for when a player leaves mid-season but worked it out with very little swearing.

Have nothing aginst Siggy but i think pre season showed we needed something just a bit more, Welford signing is great and good to see that no sentiment inveolved in keeping a previous player.

I haven't seen the team play this season, but the general opinion on the forum was that Siggy was off the pace. I did think it was a bit of a risk when he was signed, but I think most people hoped that he would find his old form. I would think that this was a huge decision for OIC to release him as they were old team mates. I think we should congratulate OIC on his courage to recognise that Siggy was not as sharp as before and release him so early in the season. He could have let him plod on hoping that his game would pick up.

With the last two signings I really think that OIC has now got the makings of a promotion pushing squad, and I am really looking forward to the match on Monday . If we could just get a good result at Lowestoft at the weekend it would really set us up for a good bank holiday crowd on Monday.

I watched Siggy on Saturday and agree he was too slow. Dean Grant came on and showed the kind of pace we need, with an excellent goal too!!

Agree with allo f the above-and especially MS in congratulating IOC in his actions (as with Tait)

Bit of a concern that IOC signed them in the first place as a few of us expressed at the time;but hopefully IOC has also learnt something.

Really wish Siggy well-3 memories of him-

an usually majestic headed goal which he saored to in something like a 4-3 fightback at HDP-can't rember who against.

an audacious shot straight from the kick off from halfway line in a game at crabble i think where he nearly scored in first 3 seconds (why don't more try that)

his photo in the paper/club site about 4 years ago after he attended a presentation at a local childrens hospital.

Never met him-but seems a fabulous guy and really wish him alll the very very best.-one of the few people you could almost forgive if he scored a goal against us one day.

Entirely agree with everything everyone else has said, as soon as IOC made the substitution though on Saturday we looked a different side. Dean Grant looks a real tal. The Canvey game was the first time I had seen the Gate this season and I was impressed with Cloke and I am looking forward to seeing Ishmael and Welford this afternoon (as long as they play of course). UP THE GATE!!!!!.

I am getting increasingly worried about this forum. Everybody seems to be agreeing with each other, and there is a sense of optimism in the air. Now even Michael is agreeing with posters, lol;)
