Since eldest daughter has started coaching them a couple of seasons ago and eldest GD started playing for them, I think the 'mix' is now around 50/50, Molly11.

I take it thats a bi for our ladies in the county cup then !

NLN I was at the Surrey County Womens & Girls League meeting last night and asked the question what happened to Horley Ladies. The League Secretary told me they had apparently joined another League - that League had to ask SCWGL for clearance, which was given.

So could be that the County Cup commitment is still intact?

OK - Now that it seems to be out in the open....................

'Ferret' is not a relative of mine. She left Horley at the end of last season, taking a good percentage of the first ladies team to Lewes.

The remains of the first team and the reserves amalgamated into one team.

As some of you may know, Horley Rugby Club are to use the back pitch at Horley Town FC. This caused pressure on pitch usage and training facilities.

Horley Town FC formed an almost new Committee. There were some insummountable differences between HTFC Committee and Horley Ladies FC. I invited a member of their Committee to Dorking's ground which they graciously accepted and after some negotiations, it was agreed that Horley Ladies, as was, would be affiliated to Dorking FC and play at Meadowbank.

I must point out that I have no official capacity with what was H.T.L.F.C, but with my family connections, I couldn't see yet another Ladies team be driven away from the sport, hence my offer through DFC.

I hope this clarifies the situation.
