pitch was decent last night not a dust bowl like normal - I think if its a half decent surface to warm up on people tend not to be to bothered but when your warming up on a cow field its pretty frustrating!

True, Outside pitch is shocking. But if everyone warms up on the pitch its a mess by November.

To be honest villager, you should feel pretty disappointed with yourself to come on here and start a topic with that title. Without knowing who you are and which team you follow, i can only imagine you are one of those people who is too old to play yourself, so have decided to look at something you can start a thread with, seen we havent had the best start and gone with that. Didnt play in the Hayes game but think it was a case of underestimating a new side coming in to the league. Staines Lammas are good side, always finish in the top 5. Cobham, good side last year, maybe not so much this year based on last nights performance, Knaphill didnt deserve to lose the game, which, just for you 'villager,' was the reaction from some of the Cobham FC followers i was sat with. Jurgs, as i had to watch from the stands for 75 minutes saw the game very differently to you and gota disagree with you mate, there were certainly more than 5/6 attempts and the waves of attack were one after another. You did pull off a couple of good saves in all fairness, thought you had a good game. Did think Shane was kept a bit quieter than usual but fair play to him, took his goal well and I could tell that from all the possession we had, you were going to nick something.

Sour note for me was your number 9 going straight over the ball with his studs on my ankle, meaning i had to go off after 15 minutes. The fact that the ref I dont think even spoke to your player was embarrassing from the officials, nearly as bad as having the Cobham Matchday Sec as one of the linesman, but there we go. Dont usually write long posts on here, but as ive had to take the day off work because i cant walk, felt a few things needed to be aired after seeing 'villagers' comment.

Personally, im more than happy for people to come on here and question the start that Knaphill have had/say its poor/say we wont win the league, but to anonomously come on here and start a thread like you have, is pretty disrespectful on your behalf. The fact you have only made 7 posts on here makes me think you should probably sit down and keep your 'thread ideas' to yourself. Im going with Guvnor on this one, happy for people to keep doubting us as just like last year, something will click soon and get our season going.

I'm sure if my memory serves me correct that Villager is Chobham ! maybe it's Mr "their chairman told me we're the best side in the league"

Only a fool would write off knaphill although everyone is correct in that BP is an utter tool.......

As I said before in results bit, Knaphill were by FAR the better team first half. We were awful. Second half knaphill were still the better team but it was a bit more even. Nath the player that took you our was lucky to be on the pitch. I even said as soon as it happened he's lucky if he's not off here. I think he was helped by the fact nobody really made a fuss about it or went mad at the ref.

Reason our matchday sec was lino cause the other lino didn't turn up and nobody else was around to do it. It was a toss up between him and me and i'm sure you would have rathered him than me running the line!

Knaphill did have the lion share of posession last night no doubt. We didn't get to grips with thier formation in 1st 45, but they didn't really penetrate often, although should have. 2nd half was a little better for us and as the game went on we started to create more. Knaphill in my eyes, good going forward, But not so at the back.

Is that why we had 20+ attempts on goal with none scored and only restricted you to 2 chances?

I'd say it's the complete opposite at the moment.

20+ attempts!! You must be seeing things from LB Gamble! I think I only made 5-6 actual saves max. We can all be shooting from distance and saying we had plenty of attempts, but unless they are on target it doesn't mean a thing!

Don't get me wrong Knaphill do play some lovely looking football on the eyes and have nice intricate patterns of play etc, but not once did you actually get in behind us to trouble the goal and 90% of your "attempts" were from outside the box which is much easier to deal with.

I personally enjoyed the game and after Sats game, which I missed, it was essential to get a result last night agaist a team who will be in the mix again.

The only sour note for me was despite the rest of the Knaphill players and coaches accepting defeat graciously and shaking hands at the end, their kent of a manger just walked through the middle of all the players with his arms folded without acknowledging anyone. It's idiots like that who unfortunately give the club a BTK reputation!!!!! Get over yourself mate!

20+ attempts in total Jurgs, that includes all shots on and off target and the amount of times we got crosses in from wide.

You did make some good saves though mate so have to compliment you on that. If we managed to take one of our first half chances and scored the first goal, it may have been different.

the season is what 3/4 games old. Too early to write anyone off, just ask Blackpool last season.

You can have all the posession in the world, but if you don't stick the ball in the back of the net, you ain't going to win.

I wouldn't call a cross an attempt on goal. Sky or the Beeb don't

I was too far away to see it clearly, but from where I was, it did seem a heafty challenge.....from both players. Our 9's shin/ankle wasn't looking too good at h/t from the same challenge and he had to come off as couldn't put any weight on it either.

I can only comment on what I saw, but I doubt he did that to himself!

I can assure you it's not Sheerwater. We don't have a problem with Knaphill.

I actually quite like Bob P, Savo can wind me up a bit but I'm sure off the pitch he's ok. Knaphill may come across as cocky, but they are a hard working, very well run club. I'm sure everyone can see that.

Knaphill must the most unlucky side in the division, to have quote 'dominated' all of their games this season and to have only won 1 game out of the first 5. I think that you had an almost identical record to last year and after a great run of form finished 3rd. Although i do not like Knaphill in the slightest for examples like yesterday with one of your staff not shaking hands, i will also not write you off coming back strong. The deference this year is that the league is alot stronger and no team will win 11 games in a row.

I do find it embarrasing that knaphill players / supporters are defending the team when they have lost or when someone makes a comment, take it on the chin and win your next game. How many games can you truly dominate without even getting a draw. You guys dont do your team any favours as when every club plays against Knaphill they desperately want to win as everyone seems not to like Knaphill. However no doubt the wins will start coming soon as the team is too good, wont they..........
