Another resilient performance from the ever-improving Royalists. No weaknesses against a side who predominantly played long balls and found Delroy in great form whenever they broke away and threatened. We hit the bar twice and had a goal disallowed for what looked like handball, although it was clearly ball to hand as Michael controlled a perfect through ball and beat his marker. The introduction of Shane Hill later in the second half gave us yet another strength up front, and he looks a powerful recruit.

As Mr Mudge enjoys a rust-inducing break in the rains of France, well done to Byron for ably managing the team tonight. Five points from four games, a side that grows in confidence, ability and ball-passing, and a decent mid-table slot is a great start. Still early days, but very encouraging.

Good performance last night another clean sheet as well!! There is definately a marked improvement and signs that we will be ok this year. The team looks to be playing as more of a unit and contained Oxford but when the did get through Delroy was more than equal to what they threw at him. We hit the bar twice one disallowed and a few we may well have done better with. On balance I think we just edged it and had we been a bit more clinical we may well have taken the points but a good start but sooner or later we will need to turn draws into wins.

Another good display. In the end a draw was probably a fair result. They had a couple of good chances that Delroy did well to keep out but we hit the bar twice, the 2nd of which would have been a peach of a goal.

Similar to Saturday we seemed to grow into the game and by the 2nd half seemed to be firmly in control. Again we defended well, Woozley & co were excellent again.

I think the Chenns goal was disallowed for offside, that’s what the linesman seemed to be signalling (albeit belatedly). From where I was standing it did look like hand ball too, it was a good finish nevertheless.

Not sure I was impressed with Oxford's tactics. The plan from their dugout seemed to be Plan A, whinge at the ref & lino. Plan B, whinge some more. Plan C, keep whinging. It was merciful we were attacking the other end in the 2nd half and couldn't hear it.

Anyway if we were offered 5 points from the first 4 games before the season started we would have been delighted. Everything seems to be falling into place nicely now, hopefully we can pick up a few more points at the weekend.

Excellent, thanks for that.

Shane Hill? Where did he pop up from? Son of Ricky Hill (ex Luton)?

Yes, son of Ricky. The list of players known by Dave and Byron knows no bounds. This guy will be some addition to the squad when he's fully fit.
