Football in this country

Following on from another thread about our crowds got me thinking how the governing bodies in this country can keep football going to the extent that it is at the moment.

Although i moan about our sometimes low crowds, they are not at an alarming level, just a bit lower than we would all like.

With the bright lights of the premiership grounds which are getting bigger & bigger again and the fact that anyone with the internet can watch their teams premier league games live on a saturday if they wish to,is it not time that some or all non league clubs look to try to maximise their gates and chances of keeping their gates at a decent level.

For 20 years now the top clubs have played regularly on saturdays/sundays/mondays/tuesdays/wednesday etc etc

Personally,i know many people who support a football league side and a non league side and they would like nothing more than not having to choose between games that in an ideal world they could watch both.

I think clubs in areas like ours where there is a conflict should maybe look at changing the kick off times mainly at weekends or even days

Even more radical would be my favourite idea which would be to move all league fixtures (prem-div 2) to sundays and keep non league football for 3pm saturdays, lets face it,many fans see more sunday football nowadays than saturday football.

I know they are radical but i can see a time where clubs at our level will cease to exsist because everyone is watching football on t internet

Orient are playing West Brom at home tonight.

The same night as West Ham are at home to Oxford.

Shame Orient didn't change it to Wednesday as we can't compete with West Ham, and i could have gone.

One good thing though.

Orient are doing a 2 cource Curry, plus a Pint and a Programme for £10.
