Lancing - Sat 28th August

PLease note the following ground rules ahead of our game on Saturday which I have been asked to pass on by Lancing:

We have been asked to pass the following on to all visiting teams. Due to the expense and effort expended during the close season, the SCFA are asking all clubs competing at Culver Road to respect these common-sense guidelines:

  • All spectators should remain off the pitch and behind the barriers at all times, including after the match,
  • No spectators ball games in any part of the ground (there is a park and children's playground adjacent to the ground)
  • Teams warming up on the pitch should use the side areas, off the marked pitch and assistant referee running line, for all “fast feet” activities,
  • Goalmouths should not be used, and are roped off to indicate this. These should not be removed, except by authorised personnel. Alternative posts are available for goalkeeper etc practice.

Offenders may be reported, and further action taken.

Plenty of common sense in the above and I expect you all to be on your best behaviour!! :)

Damn it. Again at times like this that I need the red kit.

Am I right in saying that erith have a bye so we will play them if we win.

Erith do have a bye as Ashford Town have been thrown out of the competition. The winners of Saturday's tie will be away at Erith in the First Qualifying Round.
