Tears after the game on Saturday......

Recommended Posts

My Daughter enjoyed the game on Saturday but was full full of tears when we got home.....

She stands in her shirt clapping when daddy does and waves Billericay bear in the air when we score. Unfortunately when we got home Billericay bear was no where to be seen.

If anyone picked up a Billericay Bear either in the ground or in Blunts wall road then please let me know.

You will make a little girl very happy

thanks

Paul,

When you say ‘Billericay Bear’ do you mean ‘Billy Bear’? These were sold by the club as a limited edition item a few years ago when Rod Moore was Chairman. It stands about nine inches tall. If that is the one and the lost bear hasn’t been handed in then put another post on this forum. I have a ‘Billy Bear’ in pristine condition and your little girl is more than welcome to it as a replacement.

All the best,

Graham

Paul,

OK, let’s see if your daughter’s Billy Bear is handed in, I don’t know how much time you want to allow for that. Anyway, if it isn’t and its loss is still causing her upset then do not hesitate in letting me know.

All the best,

Graham

Paul,

I hope to be at next Tuesday’s home game against Wealdstone. If you are going then would you please let me know and about what time you expect to be at the ground. Is there somewhere or with a particular person that I can leave your little girl’s replacement Billy Bear for you to collect? I was going to suggest that I ask someone at the bar to keep it behind the counter for you. But, if you have an alternative then do let me know.

All the best,

Graham

Paul,

This is just a follow up to my last post. Would you please let me know if you are going to be at the game against Wealdstone tomorrow. I am still uncertain as to how you want me to get your daughter’s replacement bear to you.

Paul,

Did you go to last Tuesday’s game? If you did then I missed you. I did speak to someone in the bar who said she knew you and would tell you that I was looking for you if she bumped into you. Anyway, if you didn’t go to the game then there’s no harm done.

I assume you are going to Saturday’s game. That being so then perhaps you could suggest how we make contact with each other. You don’t know me and I don’t know you although we have probably seen each other on a number of occasions in the past. Perhaps we have a common acquaintance, such as a BTFC official, who could put us in touch with each other. Or, is there a certain spot at a certain time that would do? I’ll leave it up to you. Oh, and please don’t suggest that I walk around New Lodge with a teddy bear under my arm so that you can recognise me. That’ll be my street cred gone. What do I tell people, that I’m auditioning for a remake of Brideshead Revisited?

All the best,

Graham

Paul,

I received your off forum message and I have replied to it. At least I hope I have. I assume I clicked the right button.

Would you just let me know whether you have received it or not as I did ask for an acknowledgement and I haven’t heard from you.

All the best,

Graham
