No Saints Til Canvey

Recommended Posts

I've got a bit of a gap between now and my next Saints game, which I'm sure is music to the ears of our club officials.

This Saturday I'm going to "the world-famous home of the Spurs" (as Willie Morgan used to say) to see Tottenham vs Leeds, and then on Monday I'm going to see Cambridge/Hull.

And then the following Saturday, whilst St Albans play bogey team Hayes, I'll be going to Tottenham vs Fulham, before heading down to Worthing for a spot of Chas'n'Dave.

So my next game will be the drinking session that is Canvey Island. Confirmed for the early start are... Zeal, Thorns, GHA, Trev and Libro.

Incidentally, EFM will all be missing the following Saturday (6th) for the Sutton game, as we're off to the second EFM wedding in the space of a year!!

Don't make me laugh. He'll be busy washing his hair that day.

Any idea on the attendance? I couldn't have been far wrong with my guess of 180.

Hmm... Great turn out for the 'mighty' Saints! Ha ha ha!!! <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Ps. Good luck at Tottenham Zeal. Do they have any strikers left? Come to think of it, do they have any midfielders or defenders left...?

The Geordie and Dave Morley will probably be working, and John is in Spain until the 31st August.

The mood of the Urchins does seem to have darkened since the pre-season, doesn't it? They're finding out that it's a bit more difficult in the Premier than knocking seven bells out of village teams in the Ryman 1. Mind you, Hornchurch is a village itself, isn't it?

Absolutely. I should think he may well put in a cameo appearance, but I won't be able to ask him until he gets back. The joys of being a company director are such that I think he can take more or less whatever time he needs off. And he does enjoy the Canvey trip, bless him...
