Still plenty of doubt over how much rain and where it will fall. Wonder if Rambo Ram could tell us how the drainage usually stands up to a few hours of persistent rain.

Local Croydon forecast is heavy rain and poor visibility from about 16.00 to the early hours of tomorrow.

Have you been to Croydon recently ? Im sure you'll find the poor visibilty a blessing in diguise !

Much heavier rain now in London.

Its 3 o clock in Croydon and the rain is a drizzle rather than heavy at the moment. If it remains that way I can't see a problem. it looks like the really heavy rain is moving across tonight

Well, in normal circumstances I would say OK but we shall have to see. We had one or two troubles with our drainage last season and the close season works on the pitch was intended to put that right and although we did have one or two problems there I think the drainage issue should have been resolved. However, the forecasts are bad if they come to fruition.

I am certain that they would want to give you as much notice as possible if it were in doubt so keep looking at the website www.croydonathletic.net which will put up any issues as soon as they have been known. Working a few miles away it has been raining for the last couple of hours steadily and if that remained the case then there should be no problem but were it to turn into the torrents that some forecasters suggest then who knows.

We do have plenty of cover although if mixed with wind that becomes less effective of course (as the man who does the PA knows to his cost - whoever he may be:cool: )

Fingers crossed and look forward to seeing you there - I wouldn't fancy your chances of winning 3-0 however!!!

I'm no expert but it looks like the worst of the rainfall is currently passing through the London area so if anything there could be some let up between now and kickoff before the heavier stuff arrives later on. Probably gonna rain most of the evening though but it doesn't look as bad as forecast. The whole rainband has gone much further N than forecast so the heavier stuff has missed the SE.

Fecking hell. only two games played this seson by the teams in the league, and already Margate is a game behind!!!

This a strange decision as the rain has now stopped. I wonder who made the decision, there is no way this would have been off at hartsdown. As was stated above they have had problems with the pitch in the past.

Very disappointed but the rain is hammering down now and the ground is already very wet.

For years our home games have always been on a Tuesday but this season decided to push them back to Wednesdays... it will a nice evening yesterday!!!

Anyway - see you when it is rearranged; at least you didn't have to travel!
