I thought the ground was near Thornton Heath, Steve?

Yes, we are near Thornton Heath. Nearest Stations are Thornton Heath or Norbury. Nearest Tram Stop is Therapia Lane (long walk) and the nearest bus is 60 (alight in Galpins Road) which you can pick up from West Croydon. Buses 64, 109, 198, 250 and 289 all go to Thornton Heath Bus Garage at Thornton Heath Pond.

By Car you need to remember that the traffic can be bad in and around Croydon so leave plenty of time. Coming from Margate you would exit at Junction 6 and then take the A22 (North) to Purley Cross and then join the A23 London Road. Continue to follow the A23 north toward Central London. Pass ‘Croydon Airport’ (on the left) and Sainsburys (on the right). Continue to follow this road until you reach a roundabout (Lombard). Take the 2nd exit and continue on the A23 Thornton Road. After passing the entrance to Mitcham Road Cemetery on the left take the 3rd turning on the left into Silverleigh Road, (signposted Croydon Athletic FC), after 50 yards, at the fork, keep left (signposted Croydon Athletic FC) into Trafford Road, then Mayfield Road (which is a continuation of Trafford Road). Go to the end of Mayfield Road, and then turn left after the last house. Follow the lane, passed allotments, passed an open car parking area and continue along the lane to our club car park.

Look forward to seeing you there!

Al It is closer to Thornton ,but E Coydon will be easier to get to as most trains go through and stop there. Also I have to go past E Croydon on the way

. Anyway see PM. If anybody else is coming from London and needs picking up I will have another 2 seats

So a 3-0 win tonight takes us to second place, but i'll be happy with my original prediction of a 1-0 win.

Have you see the weather forecast for this evening? Mark.

I'm seriouslly having doubts whether it will be worth going in the conditions they're talking about.

don't want to put a dampener (no pun intended) but weather looks to be turning real bad later heavy rain, wind from midday on...

Still plenty of doubt over how much rain and where it will fall. Wonder if Rambo Ram could tell us how the drainage usually stands up to a few hours of persistent rain.

Local Croydon forecast is heavy rain and poor visibility from about 16.00 to the early hours of tomorrow.
