Porka
Tough choice - some good contributions throughout. Not included Josh who only got the last few minutes. Edited August 25, 2010 by BlueGate Alan
Cookie
Well done Paul. I still can't see how a poll is set up like the "old" days. Was easy then. You will have to PM me on how you did it..please! Intrigued.
Chris1
can't believe nobody rates Osborne except me
Broadstairs Dave
Tommy Osborne for me,lots of excellent positional play tidily eliminating attacks at the outset, not allowing forwards to settle on the ball. Just shaded out Aaron who also had his usual excellent game. At last fighting spirit is shining through Well done to all.
Cookie
can't believe nobody rates Osborne except me I can't imagine ANYONE not rating Tommy Osbourne,Chris. A real rock at the back bringing his experience into every game. Uses his brain & knows how to both control a ball & to how to position himself well. Ultra consitent too.We would be in [censored] street with without him. Don't know where you got that impression from. He's my m.o.t.m in every game....(so far) but Pinnock got my vote on Saturday because he has improved his game from the friendlies which I saw. I must admit I thought Pinns had gone over the top but Saturday he proved me wrong. Others in contention for a vote for me were Ball, another who dosent make errors at the back & keeps a calm head & wins nearly every ball that comes his way & Lacey, who similarly is bringing his vast experience to the team in each game.Does his bit at both ends.Saunders as always gave his all too. My dissapointments on Saturday were Sigere & Cloke. They could & & should be doing better. Normally Clokey is another brickwall but on Saturday I felt he let himself down just a little bit. Sigggy needs to step up a gear I'm sorry to say. Last but not least Grant, who came on when I was pleading for pace from a Waugh introduction to scare their defence (they were very comfortable Siggy all day long it seemed) & that he did. I still believe bringing Waugh on also with his pace could have added something "extra" & maybe got us the win. Their defence were [censored] scared of pace & it showed but for three-quarters of the match they hadn't faced that pace.Thankfully I.O. saw that in time. Some very good performances on the day but some below efforts too. Edited August 23, 2010 by Cookie
Cookie
Wayne Wilson I forgot to add to list of good efforts. Made a difference when he came on. Back to his old self I thought.

DEREK
Sigere not the only one that needs to up his pace, I thought Jay was a couple of yards short, and Turner should communicate with his defenders a bit better. Was the Sherman substitution tactical or otherwise ? either way well done to the manager, we'll need Sherman when Jay is banned, so another card would have been bad news. Thought Wilson did OK but why does he take right sided corners, surely a left footer would be the better option.
Guernsey Tom
Wasnt on long but I think Dean Grant changed the game, and a great goal too, gets my vote.

I think on Saturday it was because the wind was so strong into the goal.
Wellsie
Personally, I'm a bit surprised no one has mentioned Darren Marsden. I thought he worked hard box to box all game and has stepped up well from the Kent League.
Cookie
I thought he was just off the pace on Saturday Wellsie but it was his first crack at this league so I was giving him the benefit of the doubt.Still did some good work, don't get me wrong & he is a player I like a lot but he wasn't one of those who stood out, for me anyway. I can see him improving his game from here on though with that game behind him. Edited August 23, 2010 by Cookie

BlueGate Alan
Ok its a tie between Aaron and Pinns then, ironically the two I chose for the sponsors MOM but went with Aaron due mainly to the problems his long throws caused in the game.
