Westfield 2-1 warlingham

Last min goal from us won it. To be honest we were lucky to win and didn't play that well but dug in. lots of players out too but shows our squad has improved !

Very disappointing from my point of view. Westfield scored early on and soaked up so much pressure. We totally dominated for long periods of the game and the mountains of missed chances cost us in the end. I will take blame for defeat as possibly should have been happy with a point but pushed for the winner late on. Last minute goal was very harsh. Fair play to Westfield who dug in and didnt give up. A smash and grab result for them but thats football. Great things going on down there and a good management set up now with Craig in charge..

Agreed- you did dominate for long spells and last season that would have been 5 or 6 goals. Pleasing thing is that we had a lot of defenders unavailable yesterday and 2 of the back 3 were midfielders who slotted in and did superb. I thought Warlingham look very balanced with height at the back and quick down the flanks. The general feeling after the game was that we'd beaten a side who will finish in the top 3 this season. How did you find the pitch?

Thought pitch played well grass could have been cut but thats about it. Could see alot of work had been done over past couple days but cant undersatnd why they finished 3 quarters of the pitch and left he quarter outside club house ?? Saying that the emergency top soil and grass held up well. You did defend well yesterday and credit were credits due your keeper made several outstanding one on one saves. As for top 3 I would have bitten your hand of at start of season alot of new faces and young blood has been brought in but it seems everybody is beaten everybody this season so the division looks wide open.

Croydon 1 - 2 Sandhurst

Croydon were a very poor outfit, and despite them taking the lead they failed to pose any other threat. Sandhurst always looked like scoring through their lively frontman, and he eventually got the equalizer. Took Sandhurst 15 minutes in the second half to get going, and when they did they looked comfortable and scored 2 goals in quick succession, and Croydon offered nothing in reply.

Sandhurst must have been short of players as I believe it was their manager who ended up coming on with 10 minutes to go. As I said, Croydon offered very little, and it was a deserved victory for Sandhurst, despite the game being a poor spectacle.

Elnino, should of introduced yourself,Your report is a bit like the Golfers Form that you post under,Very poor.Would agree that Croydon did not play to their brilliant best(,tongue in cheek)but Sandhurst were hardly World Beaters themselves.Lively Fontman your having a laugh,he will not score many at this level for sure, one over the top ball, he scores, followed 2 minutes later by a header from a corner, that was Sandhurst's total input in the whole game. The Croydon keeper never had a save to make in the whole game.As I said in a previous post,it could be a long hard season for Croydon, but we have faith in our Manager,he will get it right for sure.Anyway F.A Cup next week, money to be earnt, hope Sandhurst do well in it also. Oh just realised they can't they got knocked out by Deal.who said Sandhurst were very****,yeah you guessed it.

To be fair Smudge we were missing ELEVEN players yesterday. I know managers quite often make excuses about injuries, etc and if we'd have lost I wouldn't have mentioned this as it would have sounded like sour grapes but that is the truth. Due to our patched up side we weren't at our best so I was massively relieved not to drop any points as I don't think many of the decent sides in the league will have many problems at the arena this season. The fact that I was one of only two "fit" (and I use that term very loosely!) subs and had to play the last 15 mins shows just how stretched we were.

Just for your info the lively frontman who "will not score many at this level" is Dan Simmonds who scored 21 goals in 26 CCL league games for us last season.

All the best to Croydon for the rest of the season, they were a nice bunch.

Ash 0 Colliers Wood 5 oh dear, apart from a 5 minute spell in the 2nd half Ash never really applied themselves, too many players going through the motions and also badly missing the 1st choice keeper fair play to CW it was a good performance from them and the 11 was very good,3 dog was sent off in the 1st half for Ash which looked a harsh decision mind you i was at the other end of the pitch, no game this week so they need to have 2 really hard training sessions I would suggest

totally agree with you Duncs, we were poor all over the pitch. It was a right decision to send our left back off as him jumped into the tackle, but will say if the ref got that right in the first half then he totally bottled it in the 2nd when the colliers no9 did the same & he was already booked as well. However apart from that we didnt deserve anything & colliers saw the chance to take us to the cleaners. Hopefully we will get several players back shortly or bonzo is going to have a very difficult season, but wont stop believing tho

Bommie you ask you get, well done T.R.S. T.V.,Have Knaphill been on ,wishing to seek your Advice as a Consultant for their new T,V, CHANNEL.

But i'm still a novice Smudge. Never really used a camera prior to last summer and certainly had never used editing software, so still on a learning curve to try and meet Bommie's perfection levels ;)

This is what happens to clubs who disband their reserves just to save some £££ to pay their first team squad

Smudge did you spend a bit of time in the bar before this game? one ball over the top and thats it? He was causing so many problems for your back four your defenders didnt stop arguing with who was meant to be picking him up and to be fair on another day he would have had a hatrick!!

As fizzer said 11 players out and no fit subs yet still come away with a win that shows signs of a good team to me!!

NLN.

Ash did not disband their reserve team.

The reserve team manager & assistent left and the players also went.

Actually Ash paid a heavy fine to the Surban league for not completing their fixtures.

So as for saving money it was the complete opposite,

Hope that clears up that misunderstanding.

After our friendly against Ash last month i asked one of your comitee why you didnt start the reserves up again this year as he was saying you are lacking players and he said for financial reasons

Ash are a well respected club - you could easily attract a decent manager who could bring players down to form a reserve side and even if you didnt want the cost of the Suburban league theres always the CCL reserve divison

was at the egham game. i know that mr baker will have an opinion about the officials. but on the game, you could see that this was going to be a high scorer, as soon as c and h lined up, 3 at the back, with bennett as wing back. good player but defending not really his game.

egham defence was ofton square, and did not seem to operate, as i had seen them on a couple of occasions last season. steve im sure will be in trouble for his after match outburst, but in his defence, some decisions were strange. on another point, how is chessington allowed to play at this level, with no fencing behind one goal and the ball taking ages to come back, when the fans chased after it. no tv in bar, so no half time scores, also no draught beer. and people come on here and slag off colliers wood and r p v. how the hell did the CCL

demote horley.

Dont think a fence behind the goal is required, (it would probably slow down the return of the ball anyway if it went over) it would be if we ever got the chance to go up but not in this league. Reference our bar apolagies if it is not up to scratch but we have had to contend with 5 break-ins since the end of last season, the last being a week ago, so please excuse us for not having a 40" hd screen up !!!
