Banstead 0-5 Chertsey

Feet on the ground please all Chertsey Fans. We were better side in the first half, but due gustly wind (always windy at Merland Rise) didnt get any sort of football going and just about deserved to be 1-0 up. Started the 2nd half brighter, but then a soft penalty given against us for sparked us into life. Firstly a great save from Craig Bradshaw, and then we saw the attacking, ruthless Chertsey turn up. I have to say the last half hour was a joy to watch with some great football and Tom O'Regan was unplayable. Wave after wave of attack in a 20 minute spell, and we really could have scored 8 in the Second half. Special mention also for Dean Papali who worked his nuts off and deserved a goal for sheer hard work. But as i said at the start, four good league wins and a win in the fa cup dosen't make a successful season. We must continue it and hard work first and foremost will hopefully mean success come the end of the season.

Lastly i would like to mention the passing of a Chertsey Commitee member Arthur Culver, Arthur like so many in this league was a voluteer and would do just about any job asked of him at Alwyns Lane, a dear man and a Chertsey legend. He was one of a kind and always has smile on his face. RIP Arth and i hope you enjoyed the game today.

Feet firmly on the ground supporting Chertsey for 17years and I no how inconsistent we can be but this is football you enjoy the good times and somehow get through the bad..... As a taxi man for all away games for Arthur over the past few years I have so many great stories and I can speak on behalf of everyone at the club that he will be missed, so he is never forgotten we have a flag personalised for him to hang at every game so pop down and see it for yourself.

was at the egham game. i know that mr baker will have an opinion about the officials. but on the game, you could see that this was going to be a high scorer, as soon as c and h lined up, 3 at the back, with bennett as wing back. good player but defending not really his game.

egham defence was ofton square, and did not seem to operate, as i had seen them on a couple of occasions last season. steve im sure will be in trouble for his after match outburst, but in his defence, some decisions were strange. on another point, how is chessington allowed to play at this level, with no fencing behind one goal and the ball taking ages to come back, when the fans chased after it. no tv in bar, so no half time scores, also no draught beer. and people come on here and slag off colliers wood and r p v. how the hell did the CCL

demote horley.

Westfield 2-1 warlingham

Last min goal from us won it. To be honest we were lucky to win and didn't play that well but dug in. lots of players out too but shows our squad has improved !

Very disappointing from my point of view. Westfield scored early on and soaked up so much pressure. We totally dominated for long periods of the game and the mountains of missed chances cost us in the end. I will take blame for defeat as possibly should have been happy with a point but pushed for the winner late on. Last minute goal was very harsh. Fair play to Westfield who dug in and didnt give up. A smash and grab result for them but thats football. Great things going on down there and a good management set up now with Craig in charge..

Great start to the season by Chertsey to be honest i'm not surprised, however there are other teams who must be pleased with the way they have started as well, i'm also sure that Chertsey will be looking to build on this great start and I hope the other teams around them can keep the pressure on them,as I've said before I hope the league goes to the last game of the season but i might have been a bit to optinistic, good luck to Chertsey and all the other teams around them lets make it a thrilling season after this very good start.also i'd like to offer my condolences to Mr. Culvers family and friends

Lammas 2-1 knaphill. - very unlucky not to get somethig out of this one well on top first 30 then lammas Scored against the run of play and dominated till half time. All knaphill second half gifted Lammas their second with a pass across the box which was cut out the lad went on to score with ease. Then we got goal back with 15 to go but Lammas held on for the win. Good game and ref wasn't bad!!

Yea would probably agree with that, thought we had good chances to add to the 2 goals, thought if knaphills service was abit better then baker and hodgsen would of been more of a threat but we dealt with them.goalie handed them there goal by dropping it and it went straight to the players feet, Good side Knaphill will defo be in the mixer for the title. pitch was good, looking forward to return fixture!!! overall a great and important win!!!

good win animal are all your players back from holiday now? when you comming to the villa need a right back !

Croydon 1 - 2 Sandhurst

Croydon were a very poor outfit, and despite them taking the lead they failed to pose any other threat. Sandhurst always looked like scoring through their lively frontman, and he eventually got the equalizer. Took Sandhurst 15 minutes in the second half to get going, and when they did they looked comfortable and scored 2 goals in quick succession, and Croydon offered nothing in reply.

Sandhurst must have been short of players as I believe it was their manager who ended up coming on with 10 minutes to go. As I said, Croydon offered very little, and it was a deserved victory for Sandhurst, despite the game being a poor spectacle.

Elnino, should of introduced yourself,Your report is a bit like the Golfers Form that you post under,Very poor.Would agree that Croydon did not play to their brilliant best(,tongue in cheek)but Sandhurst were hardly World Beaters themselves.Lively Fontman your having a laugh,he will not score many at this level for sure, one over the top ball, he scores, followed 2 minutes later by a header from a corner, that was Sandhurst's total input in the whole game. The Croydon keeper never had a save to make in the whole game.As I said in a previous post,it could be a long hard season for Croydon, but we have faith in our Manager,he will get it right for sure.Anyway F.A Cup next week, money to be earnt, hope Sandhurst do well in it also. Oh just realised they can't they got knocked out by Deal.who said Sandhurst were very****,yeah you guessed it.

Agreed- you did dominate for long spells and last season that would have been 5 or 6 goals. Pleasing thing is that we had a lot of defenders unavailable yesterday and 2 of the back 3 were midfielders who slotted in and did superb. I thought Warlingham look very balanced with height at the back and quick down the flanks. The general feeling after the game was that we'd beaten a side who will finish in the top 3 this season. How did you find the pitch?
