Bookham 0-1 Cove

cove on top the whole game, hit the post twice, 2 cleared off the line. Got the winner with 2 mins to spare! Phew!!!

Good to see you again Johnno, would not disagree that you where the better side and had most of the chances but thought we'd done enough to deserve a point, dogged performance from Bookham un-done by a flap by the keeper in the 92min.

And as for those boots gracing Meadowbank today, that was the highlight for the crowd today

When the cloud broke for a few minutes, I needed sun-glasses !

Camberley: 4

Dorking : 0

Official Dorking Match Report.

Injury hit Dorking suffered defeat at Camberley Town on Saturday, Camberley emerging as deserved winners in a game which the home side effectively won in the first half. Dorking had three centre backs out for the game, captain Sam Sawyers turning his ankle in training while fellow centre back against Epsom in mid week, David Thompson is out having dislocated his shoulder at Epsom. Thompson likely to be out for some 6 weeks as the injury heals.

This was always going to be one of the more difficult away trips Adrian Cox and his team will face, and coming hot on the heels of the game at another of the division's stronger teams at Epsom in midweek, the last few games have certainly been a baptism of fire for the new Dorking manager and his youthful side. The tough games do not stop - after Tuesday night's home game vs Horley Town, Dorking face one of the league's pace setters , Chessington & Hook on Saturday (again at home) before a Bank Holiday Monday trip to Chertsey Town and an FA Vase game at Molesey the following weekend as the matches come thick and fast. Camberley were completely in control of the match at the interval, goals in the 20th, 30th and on the stroke of half time putting Camberley into an unassailable lead.

Dorking had failed to defend as tightly as was needed, leaving keeper John McBride exposed, but this was perhaps unsurprising given the makeshift central defensive partnership of Tyrone Oliver and Leif Borgust. To be fair to Chicks, the side kept their shape in the second half as Camberley kicked down the slope, the home side relying far more on the long ball in the second period rather than the closer passing game they had played in the first half. Dorking by and large coped with the Camberley tactics, McBride making several good saves while one super tackle from Dan Evans in the box as a Camberley striker looked destined to extend the lead was undoubtedly the challenge of the match. Dorking were having more possession and forced some pressure on the Camberley box, particularly after the introduction of Ian Jamieson alongside Toby Fitzgibbon, but the Camberley goal never really came under serious threat.

Dorking rode their luck when a home "goal" was ruled out with 10 minutes to go, the ball having been adjudged to have gone out of play in the build up to the goal, but Camberley did get the goal there second half play probably deserved moments from time, Dorking caught short at the back as they pushed forward trying to reduce the arrears, Camberley's no.11 beating McBride from close range. Dorking's players had once more given 100% and easier games than this will come when the obvious team spirit within the side will see more points put on the board.

Team: John McBride David Suchy Dan Evans Tyrone Oliver Leif Borgust David McCann Jon Tyler Luke Reid Darryl Jeeves Harry Maneh Toby Fitzgibbon James Campbell Chris Attree Ian Jamieson.

south park 6 - 0 sheerwater

Not a true reflection of the game, probably should have been 10 nil to be honest!! 6 changes from the side that drew with Bedfont last week and we were nowhere near good enough today. On another note the officials were cack,no dialogue whatsoever you can't even talk to them without being told to GO AWAY,and maybe they should concentrate on getting some decisions right instead of pulling people up for wearing different color tape or undershorts!! no excuses tho south park were a million miles better than us today...difficult game away at staines tuesday but if we can get all our players available we can more than match anyone.

I thought the Ref was the best we've had this season IMO, i find if you actually talk to Ref like a human they appreciate it more (instead of blaming the ref for your own performances), didnt think the Ref made too many mistakes or any that would of change the outcome. Try watching MOTD i hear Stoke might have a case!!!

Egham Town did indeed lose 5-6 at Chessington & Hook today. The scoring sequence was, in chunks, 2-0, 2-4, 4-4, 4-5, 6-5. Steve Baker was incandescent with rage at the arrogance and ineptitude of the officials, in particular the non-dismissal of the Chessinginton No 5 right on half time. Matt Grave raced into the area, got brought down in the area by the last man, and scored the penalty with the home side still having 11 men on the pitch. Going in with a great fight back (we had started really badly) for a two goal lead and a man advantage would have been as good an opportunity for winning as anyone could hope for. Instead, it was still 11 v 11 and we failed to take chances for a 5-2 lead in the second half. We then conceded a "worldy" volley from the 9, who smashed a superb shot in from a not-very-well cleared corner. Hands up - decent goal. The concession of a penalty, converted by the 10, made it 4-4, but a good run and perceptive pass from Grave put Charlie Muldowney in for a 5-4 lead to Egham.

That's when it started to get hot under Mr Baker's collar. The assistant decided that it was time for Chessington's No 10 to score from the spot again, flagging for shirt pulling that was no more good or bad than happens regularly in every football game. 5-5. 5-6 came from a speculative drive that curled into Justin Gray's bottom right corner.

When I get my normal PC up and running again I will restart the "entertainment table" which has goal for + goals against, divided by games played. So far we have 1-4, 4-0 and 5-6; I have never seen the "entertainment percentage" for any team as high as 6.666. I see that Ash got gubbed today, so providing they can't shoot straight we should be in for another high scoring game on Saturday.

For the record, Pommers cracked two goals in, his second (for 3-2 to us) a wonderful lob from the edge of the box. Grave got the other goal, our second of the afternoon.

Epsom & Ewell 1 -1 Mole Valley SCR

Decent game, which surprisingly, given the scoring form both sides of been in, and number of chances created finished 1-1.

Both sides had plenty of chances in the first half, but either good keeping or poor finishing meant that we went in level at 0-0 at the break.

Second half continued in the same vein, with both sides frittering away chances, until Jarman fired Epsom ahead with just over 20 minutes remaining. At that point i thought there would be no way back for us, as we definitely didn't have our shooting boots on, but only a couple of minutes later Epsom didn't clear a corner and Jay Holden levelled from close range.

More chances came and went, but full time came at 1-1.

One of those games that both sides will feel they should have won, if they had been a little bit more composed in front of goal. However on reflection a draw was probably a fair result.

Glad to see he is scoring for you now proven goalscorer at this level and I'm sure very soon you will love him as much as we do!!!! Our ref didn't let the game flow even though a great advantage was there to be had (must have had a new whistle for his birthday) ruined the flow of the game!!

I'm not for one minute suggesting we were hard done by, just saying we were chasing shadows for 90 mins which was very frustrating and i just thought u got the vast majority of the 50-50s went your way and when you try and chat to him he just ignores you or tells you to go away..... anyway good luck for rest of the season, number 9 was a very good player run us ragged allday and the young lad up top looks a good prospect. We'll try to give you game when u visit the rec

We have some good youngsters, the lad up top got dropped last week and had a point to prove, hit a hattrick so think he proved his point! As for the number 9, your comments will make his day as he's a member on here and as you saw today on his day is a match winner. Good luck and im sure you wont play as bad in the reverse fixture.

Us giving someone a hideing...I like Cobham as a club fully repect the way they play football and none stop trying plus at no point when they were losing did they get on the refs back so fair play to them

Fair play, we were substandard, you ruined us. No excuses. Well done and good luck for the season... I'm sure at our gaff it will be a lot closer!
