to good for the ESL

I don’t like to complain about clubs but Witham Town think there better then everyone and are to big or important to be in this league, last night was the league cup group game all night there grounds man and chairmen where giving are dugout some abuse all night that I don’t mind there trying to help there team win, they complain to the ref that we are swearing to much then there shouting f**k of @ us, don’t make sense anyway that’s nothing, then after the final whistle im celebrating the win with my players then there chairmen and a few other members of staff start shouting its only a poxy cup game you have won, we have more important things like winning the league you lot have the cup we will have the league, that’s disrespectful to the league cup, you get a sense when your down there they think there two good for this league sensed last year when I was there but kept quite about it.

 

 

Please anyone apart from them win this league.

The ABW's are back....... That's a good win though GAFFA, were both teams at full strength? I know in the past a few clubs have tended to rotate for League Cup group matches, particularly those who feel the league is their priority as Witham's comments indicate that they seem to.

Surprised to read this, this morning, and sorry you feel that way.

I'm sure that not all of us think we're too good for the ESL.

I can't speak for everyone at the club obviously but when we got relegated from the Ryman we deserved it I guess.

My own feelings are heart says we will win the league. Head says wait and see.

Last night I thought your lads were a very good side.

Took us a while to get going, not taking anything away from you, and when it seemed to click for us in the second half your defence and keeper held firm.

The behaviour of the chairman and groundsman was embarrasing u expect it from fans and that's fair enough, but when the chairman is making comments like its a mickey mouse cup we shouldn't be in this poxy league we earned promotion u do have to wonder

The Witham chairman has hardly endeared his club to the rest of those in the ESL with some of his comments about the competiton over the summer, however, I repeat again that in general I think they're a decent bunch at Witham (and not just because they took in Waltham Forest a few years ago when we got kicked out of Wadham Lodge with 3 home games remaining). My gut feeling is that they will manage a return to the Ryman this season, however, if they think they have a devine right to, then they'll be disappointed again, because BGU, Stansted and the rest aren't just going to hand them the title.

the team who everyone should be looking to beat is Enfield because they allegedly have the highest budget, unfortunately for Witham the team most will be wanting to beat is them,rightly or wrongly teams will be 'raising their game' when they meet them.

please do not judge us all on what you feel from last nights game - i was not there so what may or maynot have been said last night i can only go on whats said from both camps,are we to good for this league who knows but fact is we are,yes we want to go up and the only way for that to happen is to win the league ! it will be a dog fight to the end and i think over the last few months we have done ourselfs no favours.

there are some strong teams in this league and every manager goes out to every game to win if you didn't you should not be a manager.

Witham are a bunch of big time charlies and the attitude from their chairman will only make teams want to beat them more........what a silly silly person. You'd think being sucha "big" club they would have enough experience to realise this and be humble in both victory and defeat. Witham will not win the Essex Senior League this season, I will put money on that.

Football man, you know who this poster is above and you know who Takfam9 is, we were threatened with a warning for making comments about the league on our forum. Again why can teams slate us a member club, with no warning forthcoming but we are not allowed to voice ours?

Just been on the champions of the ESL forum (Witham), well the way there going on is like they just have to turn up and the points are there’s and if any of you lot beat them you will fell like you have committed a crime, now there slagging us of about no club house etc, you have a big budget nice ground and your still in the same league has Bethnal so poor point really, just been pmsl cant stop laughing, I hope all ESL games are off on the day we play Witham so you all can come watch the game got a feeling it will be a cracking game loooool
