Finished 5 v 0 to Epsom & Ewell over Dorking. E&E simply outclassed Dorking from the half that I saw. FInal goal was direct from the corner by Tony Cuff.

 

 

I WAS there. You should have sought me out !!

 

Unfortunately, we picked up four injuries, one quite serious in the first five minutes !

JJ ENDED 4-1 !!!

WHAT WENT WRONG ?

 

We were on top for the 1st 15 minutes and then 1 of our players made an awful mistake on the edge of our box and lost the ball, which the striker put away easily. Got it back to 1-1 but then our keeper made a howler and were then 2-1 down. The only good goal they scored was from their old boy who lobbed the keeper from 35 yds.. 3-1 down at half time. 2nd half we gave it a good go and could have scored a couple but their keeper and luck were on very good form.

 

We had all the possession 2nd half but couldnt get a goal back and they scored their 4th in the last 5 seconds when we changed formation and went 2-5-3 for the last 5 mins.

 

They were very relieved at the final whistle as we didnt play at all that well in the 1st leg (and were winning with 9 mins to go), but really turned it on in the replay only for a couple of players to make howlers and give the opposition 2 goals as gifts!

 

As Smudge said in a previous post - you cant give teams 2 goals and still expect to win!

 

Have to say - nice club, decent ground, superb pitch !

 

They'll get a shock going to the spectrum! Think they'll have enough to beat Guildford city though!

Sarnie Supporter has been awfully quiet??????

 

Now i am not Egham's biggest fan, obviously being a Curfew.

 

But Bakes and Roy, are good football people, shame i cant say the same about Colin Bartholmew. (Idiot springs to mind)

 

I found it unbelivable how one supporter comes on here after two games and starts assessing the manager capalibilties.

 

Bakes, i actually hope you have a successful season with Egham, a close second behind us would be perfect.

 

Sarnie Supporter, start getting behind your team and be a proper supporter.

 

I had big doubts about Mr Day being are manager at the start, but i honestly love paying my £6 home and away every week, to see a young exciting team and players that actually enjoy and want to play for Chertsey Town.
