I'm more concerned that everyone knows the facts. Have you seen the post, LMU?

Zeal has done nothing wrong at City. Read his original post on the matter.

Yes I have, but making Gibson more annoyed with those Zeal knows is not going to get him round the table to talk to him, is it?

If he does manage to discuss the matter with Gibson and the latter is still found to be unreasonable, or after numerous fair attempts to ask for a meeting are refused, then yes your suggested course of action could well be warrented. But in the mean-time may I say that if I was Gibson and held a grudge against Zeal there would be no way a meeting would come about if the post became public knowlegde.

As a football fan I want this to be resolved as much as you and so I don't mean to wind you up in any way, simply point out possible consequencies of your action.

You said "facts" Laz.

The post last night suggested that a course of action may be under consideration by Gibbo. It doesn't state who said that a course of action may be under consideration. Was it official? Was it a [senior] Official? Was it hypothesis? Conjecture? Gossip? None of that is clear from the post.

Is the course of action that might be under consideration conditional upon some happening? That's not specified either.

My response last night was that the posting itself and a string of replies to it could make a bad situation worse and I'm still of that view. One of the dangers of threads like this/that is that positions become polarised and more entrenched. If those involved want some form of understanding let alone reconciliation at some point in the, hopefully, near future, that is unlikely to be assisted by various public debate on here, or elsewhere.

Fact: someone from the club has said that this course of action may take place. If they don't want it broadcast they shouldn't say anything.

Zeal has tried to smooth things over with the chairman on several occasions. He just doesn't want to know.

O.K. O.K. I have had enough of this thread.

My final words on the last two posts from Laz & C.Z. are:

Whoever spoke to the two chaps at The Park yesterday is a fool. If he had something to say to Zealster, it could wait until tonight. It crosses my mind that it was said without Gibbo's authority and it may have been mischief making or, even wishful thinking.

It has sparked debate on here and some of the views expressed including one message on this particular thread this morning that was deleted by someone, possibly the author himself, if read by Gibbo will definitely not have helped the situation.

If The Chairman has not responded positively to Zealster's efforts at 'smoothing things over', well O.K. Get the message and steer clear of the man. It shouldn't be difficult, Clarence Park is big enough.

I had a quick look at the message from EFM_C in the graveyard, I think AFF may have a point. The minute these kind of disputes occur things get out of proportion. It's funny, the amount of abusive e-mails I've got and ten minutes later someone calls up and says 'what I meant to say was'. People often take this stuff out of context, as far as I can see there's been no official statement made directly to Zealster about banning him and if they were to do so it sounds out of order.

Perhaps CZ needs to hear what the club has to say from one their officials directly(though not in the form of "fk off"!). It seems wrong that a club should deny a fan access to the ground but if they were to, they would have to have very strong reasons, a grudge is simply not good enough. As a fan you have to accept you're not going to agree with every fan, the same applies to the board or an individual director. I hope the situation sorts itself out and that you can get round the table with this Gibson chap. Confrontation does neither side any favours.

My reasons for posting that original message yesterday morning are simple.

I know John Gibson looks at these boards from time to time, and I am hoping he'll read the thread, see how upset he's made me and maybe, just maybe, realise the errors of his ways.

It's no good me trying to tell him face to face. He just shoo's me away and relies upon his fellow directors to hurl a barrage of abuse at me.

Short of hand-writing him a letter and posting it to him care of the club, this is my only other means of being able to put my point of view across to him.

As for Costello's post. This is a message forum. There was nothing abusive or libellous in his message, and surely subscribers of this forum should have the right to discuss these issues where everyone can join in, should they so wish.
