Wouldnt surpise me if Baker was fighting there players........

Pearcey, i can have my opinion. We need some defenders, simple. They are not good enough.

When we played you pre-season u had Tom Bentley, Jamie Houghton, Adam Foulser and Jake gailbraith at the back 4 good defenders there! do they not play there now? just for pre season? Attacking ur decent! does Clarky not play in goal for you lot no more?

Nice to see a few old faces from the Lammas yest. Little rant, if the standard of officiating continues I'm hanging the boots up! Its just not worth using holiday at work and giving up so much time to prepare for games and have it ruined by people who really just don't have any common sense let alone how to ref a game of footy. There's some cracking refs who talk to players and get RESPECT, its alright saying don't swear or argue but I'm sure if most of us were talked to like idiots in the street or at work you'd get the same reply of a few choice words. We've got what we deserved so far results wise but games of footy are being ruined. Hopefully someone from Lammas can confirm how many cards were dealt but off the top of my head there were 2 reds and 9 yellows? There was probably 6 fouls all game!! Oh and Mr Wharf got a yellow if I remember?

Dunno Krooner was playing reserves but what i was told after, that our right back Dan Lucas got 2 yellows, first 1 was stupid, apparently we had a free kick and it was basically on the sideline but the ref told him to take it back further and Dan replied So do u want me to take it in the trees then?? so he got booked and second was a late challenge. as for bookings i dont know! I totally agree with you on how the refs could speak to you differently, i mean yesterday our ref was awful, i went up for a header and gave away a foul and i was said out aloud F**k sake, not to him, and he turnt round and said " 4 shut ur mouth". i was fuming inside and some how never said nothing cos hes sent me off before. but i mean if he said that to me in the street id have to kill him lol! I just think some refs could save themselves so much more hassle, even they just put their arm on ur shoulder and said come on fella lets calm it yea, 1 more and ur gonna get a yellow! Oh and it wudnt surprised me if nath got a yellow!

Egham 1 Guildford 3.

Another very average performance from Egham at the Runneymede today. Which begs the question does Steve Baker know what he is doing?

Formation seems to be all over the place. We have so many strikers, but it seems defenders are what we desperately need.

Pomroy, very average and no effort.

Not a happy bunny tonight.

Are you kidding me? 2 games in and your questioning the manager you dick!!!

Well said Pearcey. I notice he has joined the site just to have a go at the manager. Don't know who he is. I may even have been standing next to him as we failed to score a crucial second from a hatful of chances in the first half. True, we should have buried GCFC. Steve Baker can't legislate for Barrance missing sitters though. I can't comment on any "afters" as I had left the ground as soon as the final whistle went, but as for Steve Baker's supposed potty mouth I heard only what most managers say when chances are going begging and players are making the wrong decisions. He also shouted "We've got to start putting these away lads" just before GCFC levelled, and "No shots!" just as the 9 was about to drill in the third, aided by some more slipshod marking.

That's the problem, people hide on here behind a code name! That's ok if just posting info and general discussion but when you come on here and verbally attack someone have the balls to do it with you identity shown or if you are a true egham fan who goes to the games,go up and have it face to face with steve and discuss his tactics/players.minge!!! I don't see what the problem is only 2 things have changed from the side that finnished 4th gray has come in for me and pommers sighned nothing to drastic, and let's face it are any of us gona win the fa cup?

As for potty mouths I probably have the worst in non league football.

Kroonerside, there are some good young (maybe middle aged) referees who listen to players and talk to them with respect. I am taking the mentality that I have respect for all players on the pitch and its theres to lose. A quiet word can settle a situation better than cards at times. Its about using logic and common sense. The game is not about the referee or assistants and I would love to go through every game without being noticed.

Refereed 2 games today and currently cant walk. I now know why I retired from playing.

Sarnie supporter ? lets get a few thing straight. Do i know what i am doing ? When i took the Egham job we were 4th from bottom with the worst Egham squad i have known.

After bringing in new faces we finished 13th. Last season we finished 4th, the highest the club has ever finished in the CCL. I think this is an indication that" i do know what i am doing" !

As i have stated against Mole Valley we were CRAP ! On Saturday we should have been 5-0 up after 35 minutes. If we were would you have posted anything on this site ? I doubt it.

However we did not take our chances and Guilford did. Simple fact ! The one thing i hav always liked about Egham is the supporters both as a player and a manager.

People like Mike,Badger,Jim, Fergie etc,etc... What i like about these guys is that they will talk to your face not put snidey remarks on a website hiding behind a nickname.

I would be happy to talk to you in the club anytime over a pint and listen to your opinions and thoughts. However with comments like "it would not suprise me if Baker was fighting" i dont imagine you would have the balls to talk face to face.

You do not have any idea how much time and effort i have put into this job and how passionate i am to get Egham to a higher level. Be carefull what you wish for !

Real Sarnie supporters get behind there team and manager win, loose or draw. !

If you get that fed up with my team let me know and i will get you a ticket for Staines Town !

Deal Town 3 - 0 Sandhurst Town

Very frustrating afternoon down in Kent as for the 2nd year running despite a decent start in the league we have fallen at the first hurdle in the FA Cup.

Played really well in the 1st half and dominated the game without taking our chances and were made to pay right on half time when after a mistake by one of our players Deal broke clear and despite their playing being 5 yards offside (their subs behind the lino backed me up on this......once they had stopped laughing!) we somehow went in 1 behind.

We had a go in the 2nd half and created a few chances but didn't play anywhere near as well as in the 1st and lost further goals to a free header from a corner and a last minute penalty.

We will just have to settle for a CCL league title and FA Vase double this year then I guess.

just to say i was a pleasure to finally meet Big JR today. 5-0 was harsh on Dorking, they started better than us. Unfortunately defensive errors contributed to some of our goals. Managed to miss a penalty too. I think Dorking will fair better this term than last.

DORKING TEAM:- John McBride : David Suchy: Daniel Evans: David Thompson: Sam Sawyers (Capt.): Tyrone Oliver: Dean Cox: David McCann: Toby Fitzgibbon: Ian Jamieson: Chris Attree: SUBSTITUTES FROM:- Jon Tyler: Harry Meneh: Darryl Jeeves: Martin Waldren: Luke Reid: James Campbell: Leif Borgust.

BRACKNELLTEAM:- Dan Tillson: Matt Wright: Sam Wyatt: Liam Woozley: Scott Bursill: Robert Yorke-Goldney: Steve Ryan: Tom Nugent: Callum Whitty (Capt.): Ben Wright:Deam Thomas. SUBSTITUTES FROM:- Craig Sayers: Robbie Nicholas: Gary Campbell: Nathan Christian: Dan Mansfield: Junior Arquimba.

Nice to meet you at last TC !

After a phone post-mortem today, we decided that Bracknell had 5 chances, took them, and scored. DFC had just as many if not more, and didn't.

As TC says, the scoreline doesn't really reflect the standard of the game.

Thats a bit harsh on your goalie BJR who saved a penalty and pulled off another 3 good saves in the second half. We cleared one off the line and I only had two saves to make, just a lot of through balls I had to be quick to gather.

Are you kidding me? 2 games in and your questioning the manager you dick!!!

'steve' ends up with egg-ham on his face after this one then. Rather set himself up for it with his comments in the weeks beforehand.

The self-styled 'angels' of Egham came unstuck against the 'big bad bullies' of Guildford. City rode their luck at times, and started poorly - Egham hitting the woodwork three times in the first half. Having conceded, City drew themselves back into it and took a 2-1 lead into half time, although it could easily have been 3-0 to Egham by that point! The hosts had a good spell of pressure in the second half, before Joel Greaves found the back of the net from nothing to secure the victory for City. If Carlsberg did pub teams...

The difference between the attitude of the two benches was huge. On one side, well behaved and calm - in the other, a manager bawling expletives at his players, opposition players, officials and supporters. If you'd been believing the rubbish spouted on this board in the last few weeks, you might have been surprised which was which. And yet there was still time for the star of the show to embarrass himself further, trying to instigate a bout of good old-fashioned 'fisticuffs' rather than the traditional handshake at the end of the game.

Mind you, there was some curious self-defeating bitterness afterwards, with the Egham barman ignoring some of our supporters after the match. Clearly they don't need the money, so we won't be in at all next time!

Next up in the cup, a tough home match against Cove or Three Bridges.

Congratulations on such a "smug ill-educated post Mr Sweeney".

Lets clear a few things up and deal with facts.

Pub Team " i have never referred to Guilford being a pub team !

Both benches"On one side a well behaved and calm bench. I take it you did not here your manager encouraging his players to try and get people sent of ?

In regards to myself, if being passionate, vocal and using occasional colourful laungage makes me a "disgrace" then so be it !

You state that i was balling at your players and officails. Are you for real ? The only time i had any exchange with your angelic players was responding to insults directed at myself.

Finally your comments about me trying to fight you players is laughable. On the final whistle i went over to shake the hands of your players and manager as i do win, lose or draw every week.

Two of your players choose not to shake my hand and one of them decided to give me some abuse once behind all his team mates. We exchanged some pleasantries and that was it. The rest of your players were fine and there was no fight.

I will be the first to admit i am no saint and there are times when my behavior needs to be worked on but please dont come on here and post things that are not true.

There is no love lost between myself and Guilford but for what is worth you have got a good side.

Its a shame no one has posted anything about the game as it was a good old fasioned cup tie !

Bit early for all the negativity at certain clubs. Cambo got beat 3-0 by us on the opening day and were well fancied. I had said that a few sides may take a while early on to gel, as with them They followed that game up with a confident home win and an FA Cup win Saturday. Badshot Lea have new players and are, supposedly, paying out dough - not my view, just the rumour. They lost to Chertsey - no disgrace at the moment, looked average at Hanworth and then lost in the cup Saturday. Egham, too. Only had two games and they have new faces who will need to gel, but Mole Valley came out of the league games firing and are top, whilst Guildford are a good side and the win was certainly no surprise to me, and the three scorers are all going to cause problems this year. As for Molesey following the same pattern - we only had two points out of our first 24 last season, but progressed though to play three FA Cup ties beating opposition from above in one and going out 3-2 to a side two leagues higher. This season we have played only three games and are in fourth place with 4 points, but have fallen to a lower league side in the FA Cup. Disappointing on Saturday, but to suggest we are following the same pattern seems a bit weird. Against Cambo we were deserved winners and they accepted that. At Guildford we had the better chances in a poor game, but came from behind to take a deserved point. The general view is that they will cause a lot of teams problems and that with the various injuries and suspensions we would probably have taken a point there - we could have nicked it at the end. I do accept the game was not riveting, but perhaps two good sides cancelled each other out.

To Saturday and what was a surprise to many, but on the day Hartley got their reward for a great team effort and a positive start, which got them a lead that they held on to with their lives, only to strike the killer blow as we pressed for an equaliser. Too many people look at league tables and make judgments on the basis of that, but early season results are strange and a lot of sides have suffered from early suspensions, holidays and injuries and this can have an effect on lots of squads. We are gutted that we lost the game and the dressing room was a very despondent one after the game, and we need to regroup for our home game tomorrow and look to get back on track. RPV come to us and started with a 7-0 home reverse, followed it up with a draw and then progressed in the FA Cup Saturday. Maybe our lads saw the league form and were guilty of under estimating Hartley, and then found that they could not raise their game once behind, but to talk about our inadequacies on the day would be an insult to Hartley. They have some good players and, speaking to their people, many have not really got going yet this season, but they feel they could be getting there now and the season may start to go the way last season did and a promotion challenge is a possibility. I have also not heard such constructive and positive coaching from the opposition bench for some time and they seem to be doing things the right way. Nice people and we wish them luck in both the cup and the league.

Can't recall who posted it but managers do talk to each other and do ask for information on future opponents, so nothing new there mate! I will take your advice in future as I clearly made the mistake of concentrating on providing a 24 page dossier on Guildford for Steve whilst telling my lads to just go out and enjoy themselves and everything would be fine as Hartley were rubbish. And we did have around 26 corners Saturday - not sure if it is a record, but the only record that counts is the result, and Hartley deserved the one that they got.

What about that weather, though! Blimey, cannot recall anything like that for absolutely ages and really felt for all the groundsmen that had worked all summer to get pitches up to scratch only to have them looking a bit worse for wear at 5pm!

Roll on Tuesday!

Farnham 2 badshot lea 1

badshot dominated most of 1st half but never created many clear cut chances . badshot went 1-0 up through free header from there very good centre back emerson.

2nd half much different , the monsoon arrived and farnham seemed sharper and applied more pressure and scored early in 2nd half through a deflected effort from whiddett. farnham were growing in confidance and took the lead in last ten mins through corbett who eventually turned in a corner , farnham survived late badshot pressure and hung on for a much celebrated victory

I wasnt at the game but just heard back from our management team. the way the club handled all the rubbish said about our managers and players was superb.. also heard that the egham manager lost it at the end trying to fight our players..... disgraceful! some players thought egham wernt a bad side. also noted manager 50 sending info re guildford, perhaps he should have concentrated on his own team.

Dear Mr "Rose Tinted Testicals" can i please refer you to my reply to Guilford Sweeney's croc of "xxxx"

If you are going to post insults at least get your facts right !

Your smug dig at the Molesey manager just about sums you up.

Well done
