A comfortable win for Epsom against what looked a poor Sussex side. 2 goals for Jarman and one for Darren Smith. Ex-Merstham favourite Chris Read came on as a sub after a lot of injury problems last season so it was good to see him gracing the (excellent looking) Moatside pitch.

Another very average performance from Egham at the Runneymede today. Which begs the question does Steve Baker know what he is doing?

 

Formation seems to be all over the place. We have so many strikers, but it seems defenders are what we desperately need.

 

Pomroy, very average and no effort.

A thoroughly enjoyable first game at our new home of Merstham. Lovely welcoming people there and good facilities. Also a good performance from our team taking on some of the confidence gained from our win at Croydon . We were anticipating Shoreham to be one of the better Sussex teams so time will tell if it was they who were poor or us who were good.

 

So home to Dorking on Tuesday night - we have a surprisingly poor record against Dorking at home in recent years including a 0-0 against one of their worst ever teams last April -so we have to overcome that hoo doo but its looking quite promising so far in the way our team is beginning to gel .

Wait for it Croydon 5 v 2 Crowborough Athletic,Wednesdays drubbing by E&E at the arena,must of fooled any scouts watching,including me,totally took Crowborough to the cleaners this afternoon,Not one of you predicta score Tipsters us to win.Excellent Officials,didn't even know they were there.

Eversley 2-3 'ayes Gate

 

Game of two halves, Eversley 2 up and cruising in the warm sunshine at half time. Monsoon arrives during half time, rendering conditions farcical for the start of the second half. 'ayes coped better with them and staged a great comeback.

 

Odd arrangement as regards the position of the stand at Eversley. Right alongside what appeared to be the tallest dugouts in the world, meaning most are unable to see about a quarter of the pitch! Either the dugouts need to be moved to the far side or the stand repositioned.

Good win. Should have been more as we battered them first half but was only 1-0. Second half tried to protect the win and struggled a bit but got the killer goal late on.

Rideout scored two fantastic goals.
