I must admit i feared for us today. I thought it was a very big ask to build a team that would be competitive in the Southern premier in 4 weeks.

There have been obvious problems along the way, not least the d!ckheads that have done their best to unsettle potential players.

But tonight we appear to have a team able to compete at this level, and we've done it within a sustainable budget.

So hearty congratulations should go to Dave Mudge, Byron and the boys.

Whatever happens, i reckon we should stick by this manager, as it does appear that he has the best interests of the club at heart.

Well done boys !!!!!

The team played really well today. After all of the crap that's been thrown at us over the summer hats of to the management and team for yesterday. The side played as a 'team' Dave Pearce was outstanding on the left wing and he and Jake will cause opposition defences a lot of problems this season. We created enough chances yesterday to win the game comfortably it would have been totally unjust if we hadn't have got a point. The reaction after Chenn's equaliser showed quite clearly the passion the team has and that those players that remained from last season are the players that want to play for Windsor. I think the reaction also showed our new players, and reiterated to those that remained, that supporters at Windsor do care :-)

They'll be ups and downs this season, but a fantastic start to the season, congratulations to Mudgey, Byron and the lads.

Samaritan - hopefully you're a little less stressed now and you were able to have a relaxing Saturday night after hearing the result on Sky Sports News.

Malc - I think Staines Rebel might be using foul and abusive, cant lay my hands on my Thesauras just yet so not so sure....or he could be a Phil Collins fan.

Well done Dave Mudge, Byron and all the players. We looked like a team yesterday and thats a huge achievement in itself.

Anyone unsure as to whether it would be worthwhile coming along on Tuesday, fear not you have a competitive combative and useful football team to watch.

Never a dull moment!

Really enjoyed the game yesterday. Even if we had lost I still wouldn't have been too concerned as the boys played pretty well considering this was the first time most of them had played together in a competitive match.

As Geggy mentioned there is every reason to feel a bit more relaxed now, we seem to be in safe hands. The hard work has been put in over the summer, we have a decent committed team who will only get better once they gain a better understanding of each other and also when the fitness levels improve.

I have to say I disagree slightly with Malc's match report, I thought they had the better chances but we had the better possession. Anyway it was a good close game and it would have been harsh had we not got something from the game.

Lots of good performances, everyone played well but I thought Pearce and Woozley in particular were outstanding. Also Manuella in the centre of the park looks quality. He was clearly knackered from quite early in the game but kept going and played the full 90 minutes. He must be some player when he's 100% fit.

Anyway roll on Tuesday night and hopefully our first 3 points of the season.

I couldn't make it yesterday but was very pleased with the result. A brand new team, new management, god knows how many hours in a coach then a brief warm up and to then put ina performance that has been roundly praised in a division above where we were last year is fantastic.

Also good to see Chenns bang in another, if he is going to leave that won't have done his chances any harm.

Glad to hear Pearce is doing well, he has waited in the wings and is now playing on the wing, good luck to him and the team and I look forward to Tuesday night.

Also £1 to park in the car park! The cheek of it.

Well done Dave, Byron and the players.

Great day out.
