Burnham vs Hoddesdon

Facilities at Burnham are excellent. New manager who was a very good and experienced player and I'm sure they'll be a decent side, but as Barking Mad says, there's the possibility that it may just take them a little while to find their feet in the season. Should be a good game.

We got Burnham in the FA Cup tomorrow, how have they been getting on in preseason? and whats the pitch like over there?

watched the game two sides who tried to get the ball down and play ,game at times ruined by the cynical diving of the hoddesdon players, the management of hoddesdon were screaming for yellow and red cards from the 5th minute onwards and this inflamed there players to argue at every decision the referee made, hoddesdon looked in control for most of the game but as the hoddesdon dug out lost there heads it spread onto the pitch will the lesson be learnt ?

Shrewdest - you forgot to mention two of the best goals you will probably see in the FA Cup this season. Both scored by Burnham

The winner a dipping 35 yard half volley would have graced any ground in the country

As just mentioned, the game was won by virtue of two absolutely stunning strikes, both of which were among the best four or five goals I have seen in twenty five years of watching Ramblers. Interestingly, the game was preceded by a minutes silence in respect of Ted Havers, Ramblers' long serving gateman, who died in June. His family were present and it was as if somehow he sparkled touches of magic onto a couple of people's feet. Having said that, we did see Billy Hunt score a number of high quality goals last year with his left foot, although the equalizer on Saturday was even by his standards pretty special.
