Allan Tait has been released by mutual consent by Iain O'Connell, who said " We had a chat and I agreed to release him. He has struggled in pre season and played again on Tuesday but he didnt look happy or sound happy, so its best we go our seperate ways

 

He has to travel a long way and his wife is about to have a baby, he's just not been enjoying his football"

 

Iain is set to boost his options up front by signing French trialist Ismail it also adds, once agreeing terms with him.

Important news on 'both counts'

 

from what i saw tuesday-seems the better option.

 

Just did not click for tait-wish him well .

 

Having eulogised him when he signed him-at least IOC has been man enough to rectify the error quickly.

No problem Michael, I had heard it may have been on the cards as he wasn't happy and hopefully tomorrow will confirm the signing of Ismail.

He certainly didnt look like he was enjoying it. It was very noticeable & probably explains his lack of form. I think if he WAS happier we might have seen a better player out there.

Definately need a "decent"-"good" replacement up front as Ismail alone won't be anywhere near enough. Still,money should be available now I presume.

I would like to wish Alan Tait well for the future.

I wonder whether Waugh will also be given a chance-he does seem a bit of a goalpoacher and seems ito get into the right positions.

 

About 5 years ago ,some waxed lyrical about Pulman-waugh remeinds me a bit of him-but seems to have alot more about him and a certain sharpness-just seems to be worth a gamble to me.

 

Can't gamble too much-but he does seem to have that certain something
