Seems to be gathering pace

 

As someone pointed out Tuesday was like Soccer Saturday - all we needed was a Chris Kamara. How long before the first CCL iphone app !

 

Anyway - remember when joining twitter to follow all other CCL clubs/supporters and make sure they follow you to make the most of the service.- and if you havent already get your club signed up !

Your right NLN - seems a useful bit of new technology that even us old-timers can follow.

 

Am I right in believing that if I just "follow" the Combined Counties list set up by Guildford City (in the "pinned" message above) then I will get updates of all tweets from contributors to that list? help.gif

Yep, Just follow this page, you don't even need to sign up to Twitter to see it and I'm trying to keep it updated with all the clubs that are joining up.

 

To any club that hasn't signed up - it's really simple to update, just send a text once your phone is set up with it - and it costs nothing (well, assuming you have free text messages)!

You don't have to 'text' anything guys. The twitter pages are web pages that you can 'follow' which just means they appear on your twitter page (web page). You never have to send any tweets (post/text) yourself ever if you don't want to.

 

Bommie - I don't have a web-enabled phone (nothing wrong with my 10 year old Nokia 6310i - does the job intended wink.gif).

 

If I join twitter & "follow" a page - will twitter text me the updates to that page??

 

Sorry, like Duncs, need help with all this modern stuff :)

I'm involved with Twitter every morning, around 6:30: It's called the Dawn Chorus.

 

I've only just mastered the mobile phone.

 

Now, when they bring out TWATTER, I might take an interest.

I've seen one of those in the window of an antiques shop in Dorking. Probably previously owned by BJR ;)

 

You don't get any texts from Twiiter unfortunately, you can only access on a mobile through an app of some sort or internet browser.

 

Have to say it was good on Tuesday, being at the game and all the updates coming through.
