Elf, the road to Wembley is something they do each season. One of the TV channels is also doing this, and I think their choice is South Park from our league, who are playing on Sunday. The theme is that they follow the link from the first game and it generates some interest all the way to the final. If we win, they will keep tabs on us in the build up to the next game at home to Whitehawk and cover that. If we win again, the same will apply for the next game at home to Maidstone, and so on. Should Hartley Witney beat us, they will become the focus of attention. Basically, they follow the winners of each game to keep the chain going. The theory is that you can work back from the eventual winners and come back to us this Saturday. Hopefully, we will be seeing a lot of them over the next month or so, as that will mean we are still in it.

We have been chosen because this season is the 130th year of the FA Cup and we are match number 130. One other link is that the contact I had from the fa.com yesterday was Wally Downes Junior, who played in our youth and reserves a few years ago.

With regard to last night, I think both you and Sweeney are spot on. Not a great game, fair result, and one that both teams will probably look at as a point in the bank rather than two lost. Not an easy place to go at any time and they will take points off teams on a regular basis this season, as they have some decent players and there are, I believe, more to come. And Sweeney has a valid point as we have now, cup ties apart, done our time at the Spectrum this season and have come away with something.

Let's just hope our lads don't get stage fright on Saturday and perform well enough to get us through - I know that all the fame and glory of the TV cameras can turn heads, and even I intend to get my hair done for the day - but our main focus will be winning the game and we can deal with the spotlight that a win will inevitably bring after that!

A warning for the Moles fans though, please do not under-estimate Hartley as they will be a good side and we will have to at least match the performance of last week to get past them!

Also Molesey have apparently been picked to be the FA's Road to Wembley team and will apparently be filming the game at Walton Road on Saturday and be following us untill we get knocked out of the competition. Does anyone have any idea what this Road to Wembley thing is because I haven't got a Scooby

I heard that South Park had been picked but I guess they have a few.

South Park's tie at Greenwich Borough on sunday 3.00pm kick off has been picked by ITV Sport to start their road to Wembley. They will feature the winners of this tie and the subsequent winners to the 1st round proper in November when highlights will be shown around ITV's live coverage of the 1st round proper.

wouldnt mind hearing the GATES thoughts on lasy nights match because by the way he was going on in the report against Knaphill, it sounds like they got the title sewn up already???

Good result for us against feltham last night considering we usually always get away slowly, didnt see the game against Farleigh due to holiday but looking forward to returning back now! did anyone go to the farleigh game?? worthy winners??

Have to say thought Hyaes Gate last night were very poor, defence was all over the place and midfield no where. second half was a different stroy though but too late really. Dan barrance has a bad attitude which is why he cant play higher, although he will still get goals this season.

Hi Animal,

I was playing in the game for Farleigh vs Staines. It was a typical first game of the season everything was 100 mph but was played in the right spirit. I didnt notice many of the players from last season only the centre back skipper. Unfortunately there was only 2 officials so our chairman had to do the honours, contrary to what the Staines management thought he was very fair, in fact over ruling the ref to give Staines 2 corners.

The game itself was very tight, Staines created most of their chances by corners and long throws, which i was quiet surprised at as i have become accustom to you boys playing good fast football. Chances were few and far between however i feel that we did have the better of the 1st half. 2nd half and again there was not many chances until we scored on 70 minutes. With the last 15 we came under a bit of pressure again from set plays when your skipper hit the bar with a header, our keeper also pulled off a very good save from a sub that came on. Two of Staines forwards starting shouting and shoving each other which didnt help your team, but they seemed frustrated because they didnt really have any chances themselves.

Good luck for the season and look forward to the return leg at Ashford. Hope fully we could both be in the top 3, 2nd to that as long as Worcester Park and Knaphill are not in it i will be a happy man.

FF - whats with the hate towards Knaphill?

Brunty - They are not a nice side, they think they are better than what they are. Coming to Farleigh to win the league, lose and go and sit in the pub at the end of out club without any player coming into the clubhouse. I'm sure you wouldnt have played for them if you didnt move. I would best describe them as arrogant, and it's not that Knaphill want to progress because I was chuffed for Mole Valley when they went up as they playin the right spirit and are good boys.

Hi Farleigh Fox

Thanks for that mate, much appreciated. Yea I heard we had 8 first team players out due to holiday ( which happens every year) so had a few youngsters out. Everytime we go to you lot its always a tough game so i wasnt surprised to hear u beat us, you need a strong team to beat u lot over there. Dunno who skipper was, was it a bald fella? dont know why the strikers were fighting with each other, passion maybe! I think if you boys can produce the sort of season you produced last year then ur defo be in the mixer this year especially if u can make ur home a fortress, then teams will be in trouble. All the best for the season and look forward to playing you lot at the new Bob Parker Stadium! ha!

Cheers, over the passed couple of years we have beaten you at home then we get smashed away. Think it was 1-0 at home then 4-0 to you at your place, hopefully that wont repeat again this year. Playedquite a few times at Ashford and is quite a nice ground, should be good for the footy you boys play. The skipper was the bald fella, nice bloke as well, just enjoys playing the game.

Were playing at Croydon Arena after tomorrow's home game so hopefully we can have a good season and the option may be there for us to get promoted. Won't count our chickens as the league looks as strong as ever. I dont think there will be any easy games this season.

Good luck for the season and i'll watch out for you in the return game.

Foxy, I think the word you are looking for is Arrogant B.T.K.,Brunty left a very nice club in Hartley Witney,Brunty is a very nice fella,we have met many times, was shocked that he joined Knaphill, who I have nothing nice to say about only ever watched them twice, once when you beat them, and Dorking got Promoted. The other when Municipal played them and lost, and tried every trick in the bag, including a ludicrously small changing room for 15 players, when their 2 Twots of Managers, were complaining about shorts/shirts/socks colours to Officials.Your right also they went down the Harrow for a beer, unlike Dorking, me, and others partied late at Farleigh, thats the difference
