Hayes gate 2-3 cb hounslow

Just back - Hanwell Town FC is nice and easy to find . literally on the A40

Decent ground perhaps up to Ryman level - pitch looks decent too although could do with a cut but do understand why people let it grow this time of the year.

On the pitch HG started well and could have taken an early lead. Hounslow soon got into their stride and absolutely ripped HG to shreds every time they attacked. Jameson Emery caused problems througout as he did us on Saturday and they have another decent striker too who will win everything in the air. It was 3-0 at half time but could easily have been double that. HG looked poor but did create chances

Second half began and out of nowhere the HG left back let fly from 35 yards into the top corner. HG were much improved this half and got on top particually last 20 minutes. CB Hounslow are still very average at the back as is their keeper and it was when he raced out for no reason with a few minutes to go HG finally got their second after missing several good chances. I think overall it was the right result. HG look decent and will be top half but on that evidence no where near the promotion slots. All talk of this barrance up top. He didnt look fit ,was lazy and uninterested throughout

Not what I was told when I rang them???

Finished 3-2 in CB's favour...i did say that they were decent the ginger boy is a very good player im guessing thats the player NLNigel was pointing out....only problem for them is there all young so may lack disiplin.......good win though well done...Hayes Gate i think still missing a couple of players but still wont finish in the top 6.

Chris - you gotta keep up with the modern technology - NLN was giving us live updates via twitter on the Hayes Gate v CBH game, maybe the way forward. I think Gillette Soccer saturday could learn a thing or two.

Yep, Jameson. Think he left Feltham early season last year just before you came from Hanwell Potts. Decent player just a bit of a bad temprament, mind you, waht do you expect from a traveller

I once said that RPV's stadium was the worst in the league.... But my God is Guildfords ground giving them a run for their money!

The place is so soulless and depressing, I've never seen a good game of football there.

1-1 was a fair result and 4 points from 2 games is a lot better than our start last season when we lost 4-0 and then 4-1!

Also Molesey have apparently been picked to be the FA's Road to Wembley team and will apparently be filming the game at Walton Road on Saturday and be following us untill we get knocked out of the competition. Does anyone have any idea what this Road to Wembley thing is because I haven't got a Scooby

Well done Epsom and Ewell,a deserved win 3-0.Now comes the gripe anyone who has known me for any length of time, will know I tell it as it is.I received a call from a Committee Member could I kindly do the Gate at the Arena,I was honoured just being a supporter.A middle aged, well spoken couple, asked if they had to pay as they were the Referee's parents, being a soft touch would you like a programme yes being the answer £15 of revenue lost. That Ref was being assessed, but the last time I saw him he was Refereeing, the Surrey F,a Sunday junior Cup final. He gave a very dubious penalty, and dissallowed a perfectly good Croydon goal, that was given by his ASSISTANT BUT OVERULED BY THE REFEREE even when I ASKED THE assessor,he said,I'll ask him.The other lino was disgrace also, flag happy but he had an excuse.h e was past his sell by date.So if this well spoken couple come to your ground, make em pay I have to say £ 96 down the drain.Best of Luck EPSOM,TIDY SIDE THEIR

Croydon 0 Epsom and Ewell 3

Smudgie, re the ref last night to be fair I barely noticed him until about half way through the second half which probably shows up till then

he was doing OK . From that point on he started giving every mild bit of physical competing for the ball as a foul . Just before the "goal" (also had our keeper stopped when he heard the whistle) he had blown for twice for our centre forward competing for the ball in a promising position -so as I pointed out to a Croydon chap who was saying he might as well wear yellow that he had been crap for both teams (for a part of the game)

I.m.o the penalty was a pen - and it's a game of opinions .. our player was brought down by definite contact as he was about to go free and possibly score. Just glad after Saturdays disappointment at Sandhurst that our chaps put on a very good performance last night which we needed going into the FA Cup on Saturday.

It seems if you did the gate I have met a forum legend and not even realised it and we probably spoker about te ref on the steps of teh clubhouse so Hi. We'll have a proper chat around some other time now I knowwho you are!

Speaking of Entrance the guy at Hayes Gate kindly let me in with the CCL ground pass but did point out that the previous evening Bedfont Sports wouldnt accept them and made them pay !

NLN both managers of HG came to watch on Tuesday night neither had a pass they informed the secretary who then let them in for nothing.

Think yourself lucky - you don't have to play 20-odd games at that soul destroying place each season! The ground was actually in half decent shape yesterday, so credit to the Spectrum people for getting it sorted in quite a short period of time. At least there's a good view though, eh?

1-1 was about right. Neither team produced anything particularly special and the two goals came from a huge deflection and a defensive mistake. Good to be able to grind out draws against decent sides in the league, and hopefully we can push on in the next few games!
