I think it's time for 'Brimsdown social club',or whatever there called, to start pulling their fingers out,regarding their OWN ground,instead of letting ETFC do all the dirty work.

 

If you are a tennent in a house and it keeps getting broken into,it's up to the landlord to secure the premises...the same should apply to brimsdown.....God knows how they would have coped with the new building work,without the people of Enfield town organising it all.

As I said, the fences are WAY to small to prevent people from climbing over them. Anti-vandal paint is a good idea, but the scum could easily put a blanket/cardboard over that to prevent it getting on their clothes.

 

For me, we need a combination of anti-vandal paint, barbed wiring and CCTV. It all seems a little harsh, but thats the only way we can prevent these break-in's from happening in the future.

 

If the above isn't done, then there's no point in building our new mainstand - as it will simply be vandalised beyond use. We have to spend money on security now, or pay to repair damage on a regular basis in the future.

So who is responsible for Security at site ? Brimsdown ? or Dave F, as Safety Oficer ? someone needs to put some costings together and see what is viable.

I think we all know that Dave F is not responsible for site security. He is our safety officer during the home games and works tremendously hard at trying to build up the infrastructure of the ground.

 

By the way, this is all in his own time.

CCTV would be prohibitively expensive. The little gits would nick or damage the cameras anyway.

 

The new stand will have nothing of real floggable value and thus will only be a target for mindless vandalism. Unfortunately, without wishing to paint an unreallistically rosy picture of past times, this seems to be a product of our present society and frankly I am at a bit of a loss for constructive suggestions, certainly in the short term.
