Attention all ETFC Fans. Due to a Break-in of the "JETS" Hangar/Tea Bar late on Saturday evening we may well be down on our stock of Goodies for you all on Tuesday Evening. We will try & re-stock if we can. Please be patient & bear with us.

We also had approximately 45-50 Match & Training Balls stolen, some of which were used for our Football in the Community/School Training Schemes.

No "JUSTICE" in the world is there?

At the end of the 19th Century they would be hanged for less today depending on the charge perhaps probation or small fine and told not to do it again! It isn't the first down there and it won't be the last!

As they sow hopefully so shall they reap.

A good way to protect the ground and its contents is to link-up with the local probation service who are always looking for local projects to use their tearaways on. Once they've painted it and made it look nice the local tearaways put out the word amongst their "friends" anybody touches my ground is for it. It is far more effective form of respect than anything we or the Police can do. They then police themselves.

Unless the perimeter fencing can be made more secure, I would'nt be suprised if the new facilities arn't wrecked within a year.....How long before the inner fence is damaged?.

There were 6 0r 7 youth's arseing around on the mud behind the pitch,on saturday.

How about some 'Trespassers will be prosecuted signs' for starters.

Although in principle it would be nice to have somewhere more secure away from the ground, but it is hard enough at the moment having to bring "Enfield Town" in a box to every game.

Perhaps one day we will have our own Ground & make sure it is totally secure.

Perhaps a Sponsor could supply us with some CCTV Equipment? or maybe a Security Guard to live there.

A Mini Cab Firm Perhaps?

Surely once the perimeter fencing is completed, then people won't be able to get into the ground. However, anti-vandal paint or even barbed wiring may be needed on the top of the fencing, as they are simply too small to prevent people climbing over them.

I could easily step over one of them. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Sorry to sound so pessimistic but if people want to nick stuff then they'll nick it!

Keeping them out is not easy and I deeply sympathise with 'SL' and the rest of the JETS. We all had similar trouble in our previous life at Broughinge Road, which is why that club operated out of a box, i.e; take it with you to the game then take it home again afterwards.

The better the security the harder it will become, but if some of the people down there continue to (allegedly) turn a blind eye to trouble then it wouldn't surprise me if more stuff went missing in similar circumstances.

Dogs, that's what we need. Big, rabid ones that bite and don't let go!

If i get my hands on the little toerags, i would cut of there hands and that's just for a warning. In Saudi Arabia, the order of punishment for stealing is:

1st offence : one hand chopped off

2nd offence : the other hand

3rd offence : thier donuts

be aware, be very aware, i'm not happy.

There has been another attempted break-in to the "JETS" Hangar/Tea Bar. Luckily they did not manage to get in this time.

I think the time has come to try & make the perimiter fence around the Sports & Social Club more secure, therefore we may well be asking for help to do the job. If we do not get the place secure, it will be impossible for us to run a "Tea Bar", as it would mean taking absolutely everything home & then bring it back for each game & frankly that is just not practical.

I am really seething now!!!!! <img src="/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

Here, here S/L I would like to know why these robberys

have started now as we have had the hanger at Brimo

for the last two years without any problems.

Could it be part of the revenge the local residents

threatened I wonder?

More security needed I think and the sooner the better

as I agree with S/L it's just not feasible to take everything

to and from the club every time we have a match. <img src="/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/angel.gif" alt="" />
