Warlingham 3 - 1 Cobham. The better side on the night won. Decent football from both in spells. A fairly open game with lots of chances at both ends. Game was slightly marred by a very poor penalty decision from a ref that struggled to keep up with play ( he is new to ccl I was told, prev suburban ) gave pen wrongfully in last 5 as we were chasing the equaliser.

 

Pretty much spot on IMO. Warlingham probably deserved the points but felt 3-1 deffo flattered them a little bit.....the pen decision was very poor especially as the ref admitted I took the ball first

 

They seemed to be much improved compared with the team I played against twice last season. Very physical and certainly play to their strengths (that being their height and a very good left winger, who they will do well to keep hold of). I know it's early doors, but can see them being up there come the end of the season if they keep that team together.

Fair reflection Jurgs. The save you pulled off at 2-0 thought really kept you in it. Thought both teams tried to play decent football and both teams equally committed in tackles. Good game from my point of view a few negatives with the refereeing thought he got 2 big decisions wrong and I personally think he refereed it in the eyes of a player not a referee- if that makes sense!

Penalty was harsh -(but fair). 3-1 right score line in my eyes...but I am biased. Good luck for season.

Dorking 1-0 Banstead.

 

Banstead ended with 9 men. Rapson, i think, going for kicking out and later the keeper went for denying goalscoring opportunity.

 

Great effort from Chicks, but poor game with little quality or goalmouth action. Disappointed with Banstead. I did film the game but stupidly managed to delete the scene with the goal in it, so all a waste of time really!

Just have a look who a couple of their scorers were last night. Used to be well known at Meadowbank.

 

They certainly seem to be getting the best out of Phil Page.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE 2 TEAMS, NOT THEIR BEST PERFORMANCES I BELIEVE ?

 

Wasnt the best of games no but you are right the Spectrum doesnt add to the atmosphere!!

 

I thought Guildford were a big strong side who will be hard to beat this season and Molesey i think there is more to come after watching them pre season.
