Horley 0-4 Chertsey Another awesome performance saw them brush aside a usually tough horley town outfit. Chertsey started without steve Tyson due to food poisoning and brought in Matt Baxter up top to partner Dean papali. Chertsey started strongly and always looked dangerous but couldn't break down the horley defence until some neat interplay with the Chertsey midfield ended with Dean papali latching on to the ball to place the ball past the goalkeeper. Chertsey soon doubled there lead when Tom oregan got the ball on the right cut inside and with a deflection beat the keeper into the far corner. Chertsey wraped up the game before half time when the ever willing runner matty Baxter chased the keeper down and as the keeper went to clear the ball smashed it into Baxter who collected the ball and rolled it into the empty net. The second half was a similar story to the first with Chertsey dominating but couldn't find the fourth only the post came to horleys rescue twice. But with ten minutes to go matty Baxter scored a deserved second for himself and gave Chertsey a more than deserved scoreline and keep up the good start to the season.

Best team I have seen in Combined Counties League since we joined Horley and much better than your team last season. thought we deserved a goal at the end, it was good to see two teams playing football instead of kick and run. Well done both teams.

It wasnt the fact I was was booked for gobbing of Duncs i will take that the reason I got booked is reminding him maybe both teams are crap but hes at the same level with us!!

No one needs a ref prancing around telling both sets of players they aint good enough!

Sandhurst played well DT10 but you were very lucky to be given the pen,i'm not saying it wasn't a pen,you only normally see them given if the ref is following the letter of the law, the ball had gone over everyones head and was going out of play but the Cove lad did tangle with your 10 and he milked it fair play (or not as the case maybe) I didn't hear to many Sandhurst people moaning about the Ref then. Also your 10 is a good player but he needs to keep his mouth shut he was the reason the Ref was having a bit of banter because he kept on making snidey remarks and maybe another ref ( Krooner knows a couple) would have shown him a red card.

Duncs I am not sure whether you have missed my point here?!?!

My statement earlier was that he was bad to both teams and making snidey remarks to both sets of players which in my eyes is unaaceptable as a ref but when you are in the tunnel saying you dont want to be there and how have you ended up here after being at AFC Wimbledon v Arsenal you dont expect much more! Your right Number 10 is a good player1

Warlingham 3 - 1 Cobham. The better side on the night won. Decent football from both in spells. A fairly open game with lots of chances at both ends. Game was slightly marred by a very poor penalty decision from a ref that struggled to keep up with play ( he is new to ccl I was told, prev suburban ) gave pen wrongfully in last 5 as we were chasing the equaliser.

Pretty much spot on IMO. Warlingham probably deserved the points but felt 3-1 deffo flattered them a little bit.....the pen decision was very poor especially as the ref admitted I took the ball first :flame:

They seemed to be much improved compared with the team I played against twice last season. Very physical and certainly play to their strengths (that being their height and a very good left winger, who they will do well to keep hold of). I know it's early doors, but can see them being up there come the end of the season if they keep that team together.

I also got to meet Smudge for the first time:discobanana:

Jurgs nice to meet you also, you had no chance with any of the Goals.Impressed with your personal performance.Think the game hinged on your 2 full backs, who in my opinion were very poor, and lacked pace.Mr. Brown the Referee made 2 amazing decisions, firstly the booking of a Cobham player, when a Warlingham player kicked the ball at him from a Quickly taken free kick.I asked him in the bar afterwards why he never booked you at all for the Penalty incident, his reply No intent in the challenge.Which baffled me.Are you having your hair cut for Charity.

1. Surely the ref has to put his name down to referee the CCL, not be told by the FA to do it (Krooner?)

2. Was the referee Warren Atkin?

Cove 1-2 Sandhurst

First for Sandhurst was at the start of the 2nd half and the softest penalty ever. Ref actually made a mistake but couldnt go back on it. The ball from a corner went over the head of everyone. A cove and sandhurst player turned to chase the ball, arms got tangled, no one fell over and the ref blew his whistle seemingly for a cove free kick, only to then change his mind and give a pen. Everyone in the ground was shocked. And to make things worse he booked the Cove player. Shocked but not suprised. The sandhurst striker, Simmonds, had been in the refs ear the whole 1st half, was close to a booking, and then the ref hands a penalty on a plate for him.

The 2nd for Sandhurst was a mistake from our keeper. He went to clear the ball from a short backpass and it hit the sandhurst striker who slotted into an empty net from 5 yds out.

Cove got 1 back from a well worked goal and then missed 2 sitters late on.

JJ WAS THERE LAST NIGHT AND THOUGHT A DRAW WAS A FAIR RESULT. COVE UNLUCKY WITH PENALTY DECISION AND STUPID ERROR WAS YOUR DOWNFALL FOR LOSS.

WELL DONE DT10 STARTED OFF WELL AGAIN THIS SEASON.

SO FOOTBALL IS WELL ON THE WAY NOW. BUSY, BUSY WENT TO CHERTSEY SATURDAY, COVE LAST NIGHT AND GUILDFORD THIS EVENING ...YUK ! WELL AT LEAST IT SHOULDN'T BE FREEZING, WINDY AND RAINING ...... BY THE LOOKS OF THINGS IT MIGHT RAIN AND IT'S ALWAYS FREEZING AT THE INFAMOUS SPECTRUM !

Defender Agree with you carthorse even at 4.0 you still tried to play the right way but unlike last year with Matty Baxter uptop we now press even higher and many teams will find it hard to play out from defence but if you keep playing like that you will pick up plenty of points this season

South Park 3-5 Worcester Park

Same old story defensive mistakes cost us the game, if you can't defend a long ball your never beat Worcester Park end of :wall:

Couple of us went over to watch as we have WP next Tue

Great game to pick - Worcester Park have lost a few players but are still decent but deffo not as strong at the back as last season. South park looked very shaky at the back but seem much improved up front. Yes a couple of WP's goals came from long balls but each time the SP backline was caught square. I thought Wp were the better footballing side when they got it down and played second half- South Park tended to get it and play long which can be very tempting as their 10 was a handful throughout.

Thought all 3 of the officials had a shocker

What did you make of WP?

Same team, same tactics. Play to there strengths and do it well, Sadly we had them on the rack and made some bad defensive mistakes and they took advantage.

Dorking 1-0 Banstead.

Banstead ended with 9 men. Rapson, i think, going for kicking out and later the keeper went for denying goalscoring opportunity.

Great effort from Chicks, but poor game with little quality or goalmouth action. Disappointed with Banstead. I did film the game but stupidly managed to delete the scene with the goal in it, so all a waste of time really!

3 points

much better performance from previous years and better attitude and lookjng like a football team

time will tell but so far so good.

heard mvscr etc are flying....

Just have a look who a couple of their scorers were last night. Used to be well known at Meadowbank.

Farnham 4 Eversley 3

Thought I had better come on as we lost! Just about a fair result as our keeper also pulled off a couple of worldys. We gifted possession far too easily in the centre of the park and fair play to Farnham they punished us for it. Eight goals in 2 games nevertheless so plenty to be psoitive about and very entertaining! I never slag refs off on here so all I will say is Mr Nash......Enough said for those in the know i`m sure!
