Price increase

Recommended Posts

Tbh I like bob,but he wears his heart on his sleeve and can be guilty of maybe going over the top when he could take a step back for a minute but maybe a few of us are the same

I hope he changes his mind but to be honest I think that he has for whatever reason maybe fell out of love with the club and this may of just been the excuse to walk away, who knows????

Price increase isn't a problem for me.

Nice to have a drink with fellow Hornchurch fans.

It's not as if it's open every night.

I was there last nite and don't have a problem with the price increase. It's in line with other drinking establishments in the area and if it gives revenue to the club then so be it?

Just to butt in on this one!!

Is awkward situation sports clubs find themselves in. We have had same situation with the beer at the Cricket Club. We have been hit by increases from the brewery who in turn are

essentially passing on tax increases and increases in their expenses. If Clubs want to keep the % margin the same, there is not much they can do but put the prices up. Adding 2p or 3p

is never going to be viable, so 5p or 10p increases are the norm. I remember at the Cricket Club as little ago as 1996 or 1997 a bottle of bud or Becks was £1.35, and now they are £2.30

13 years later, and the margin is about the same as it was in 97. Thats a 74% increase in the price. I bet price rises are similar at most sports clubs (cricket, non league football etc) in

the area. At the end of the day, if the Brewery puts the prices up, unless you chose to opt out of a contract with the Brewery then their is not much the Club can do. Clubs can't decrease their

margin, especially at a time like this when they are all struggling for income generally.
