Here's what we know so far.

 

Dave McSweeney returned but never seen

Danny Green to the 'Nam

Dave Wareham to Sudbury

Micah Hyde has signed

Adam Flanagan has signed

Concord Rangers announce Russell Pond as 'their' signing, but not according to BTFC

Billy Bricknell wasting his career, trialling with the Cardboards

 

Two 'Official' signings and two 'Official' departures.

Is the leading goalscorer from the U`18s and the reserves back this year? Mike Marsh?

Free quality player, goal a game average, probably just needs a run to prove his worth if he is still available. Could prove to be a goalscorer at this level, and a goalscorer is exactly what is required based on last season. Bear in mind from the friendlies, the delivery of quality ball into the target area seems far better than last year.

Just a thought...now Mr Bricknell has departed....

Looking at the list you would say we need a keeper and a striker - but it does say there is still some strengthening to be done!!

 

No major surprises for me although I'm slightly surprised that a couple of the retained list have made the cut. I suppose it's unlikely that we've got too many contracted players so the situation can remain "fluid".

It is what it is...

 

I'm surprised like jl that some have made the cut and even though we're looking strong in some areas, to echo the sentiment, we really need an experienced striker and goalkeeper. I like Charge and he has done the business so far but I'd feel more comfortable if we had a "wiley old fox" in our squad. I know some of us like our youth players but at this level, I have yet to see anything covincing from 'em. Maybe another season in the reserves...possibly a loan out to play a higher level, would be a benefit to them (and us).

 

More worrying is the 'keeper situation. We really need some quality here or nails will be bitten down to the fingers.

 

Still, we're looking good in midfield...and in defence.

Gutted that Kersey and Boot are not included, hopefully Mike Marsh can do the business at this level as we seem a bit light up front.

Good luck to "El Joanna" must be a great experience for him to turn pro in Spain, hopefully our new keeper is not "too Sheiky!!!!!" (I'll get my coat!!).
