Anyone watching the charity shield today would of seen ex Maidstone defender chris smalling make his man utd debut after signing from fulham.Maidstone didn't make anything like they should of out the deal which perhaps speaks volumes about the situation their club is in at the moment.

Just goes to show that there are players who can make it from our level and all clubs should promote youth football as a neccessity,I just hope that should we ever have such a player that we make full advantage of such talent unlike Maidstone did as it really can change a club

If the player is on contract with sell on clauses in it then there should not be a problem. if there is no such contract then you have problems even then nothing is guarenteed, look at Beckett going from Leeds when he is out of contract then no one gets anything. Ask wealdstone.

Clubs shouldn't allow that to happen at our level

Anyone with any real talent should br put on a contract and when sold certain sell on clauses should be put in place,if this does not happen then the club are letting the fans down
