Though I attended the Richard Joss show at Belmont yesterday afternoon Alan Bonner and I returned to Hartsdown park afterwards to lock up the ground. Initially I was a little shocked to hear the result but, on talking to fans who attended and Coach Phil Fennel I was proud of the lads. First 1/2 we played our A team , made up of youngsters, oldest being Dan Langiano at 17. This team lost their 1/2 1-0, Apparently their were 2 outstanding performances, Due to Injury we played 2 young inexperienced keepers. In the second 1/2 we played what was effectively the academy's second string team and lost 4-0.

Coach Fennel was over the moon with the first real test for his youngsters and said the 1st half team though young was even now better than last seasons side. He singled out 2 outstanding performances, the 1st name for the life of me I cannot remember( for which I apologise to the Youngster,i will rectify this tomorrow). The second Courtney Robinson (younger brother of Curtis). I have seen both and rate them highly as future first teamers.

Coach Fennel said he is really looking forward to the season with high hopes of success.
