Braintree 1 - Billericay 1

Recommended Posts

This was the game of the pre season for me. Was surprised at seeing Danny Green turn out for them it was a pretty low impact game as far as Danny was concerned.

We had plenty of chances in both half's but thanks to some dodgy officials we had to make do with 1-1

Things are starting to look good but obviously we still wait to see who is staying or going in the next few games.

As ever some quality support from the Billericay Town Fan's applaus.gif

Sorry I did'nt see a team sheet and still trying to sort out who is who.

Another encouraging squad performance and we have been better than all the BSS teams we have played in pre-season.

Apart from a ten minute spell at the start of the second half and the last five when we were tired, we were comfortably the better side - I think the players we have seem better suited to the 4-3-3 (4-5-1 whatever) than the 4-4-2 we started with first half but I suppose it depends who is available as to how we go when the real stuff starts.

Lumley

Oates Flanagan Haswell Humphries-Modeste

Makofo (sp?) Kelapi Hyde Fiddes

Charge Boot

subs O'Rawe for Oates, Street for Fiddes, Luke for Boot (big improvement when Street and Luke came on in my view), Savage and Chatting also got some game time towards the end.

Wild and Cousins were both resting knocks.

I'm still mystified as to why we let non-players take part in the subs half-time kickabout.

Come on you Blues!

I don't understand why we have children on the pitch kicking about with the players either before the game or during the interval. It was something that started when Statham was here. Personally I think it looks unprofessional, but perhaps it's only me that's bothered.

You're not...personally, I'm a bit baffled by it as well.
