Groundhopper - Well by who, Barton Rovers won't be a problem on 24 January and it's an easy semi final on paper at either Bedford Town or Arlesey Town, they will probably meet Biggleswade Town in what is sure to be a one sided final.

Luton lost 5-1 to Bigglewade Town last season Rhodes so there is no guarantee that we will win it, in fact the Bigglewade Town match was abandoned with the score 5-1 but as Luton didn't want to field a team for a rearranged match the result was allowed to stand.

Oh dear Rhodes, all this inside info you have, all these sources who give it to you on good authority, think you should ask for a refund haha.

What next eh, MK Wanderers to make a late surge and win the SSML Division 2 title

I can't get it right all the time can I, my guess is that Luton didn't take the competition seriously which seems to be AWK's view who was at the game at Sharpenhoe Road last night

Ref Off Ref - Luton had an important Conference fixture the following night at Kenilworth Road against Grimsby, what does that tell you about how seriously they took Monday's game at Barton Rovers

Semi Finals – (w/c 7 March)

Arlesey Town v Barton Rovers

Biggleswade Town v Leighton Town

Not SSML related but reports on the two Semi Finals from last night, Arlesey Town beat Barton Rovers 2-0 (see link):

http://www.bartonrovers.co.uk/60494/match_report.pl?action=report&id=2737301

BEDFORDSHIRE SENIOR CUP SEMI-FINAL

Biggleswade Town 3-1 Leighton Town

Admission £8.00 including "programme" - folded sheet of A4.

I don't normally celebrate a defeat, but in this case I'll make an exception. Two Biggleswade goals in the last couple of minutes saved me from the double ordeal of extra time and a visit to Kenilworth Road (not that I was likely to go back there anyway).

Bovril was nice and hot, but the burger was cold. Try putting it on the griddle for a bit longer than three seconds and it'll make all the difference.

One other positive was the debut of young Shane Bush. Once I'd established that he was not related in any way to someone I had the misfortune of knowing at Bash Street Secondary Modern nearly 30 years ago (despite the hairstyle and hair colour), I started to warm to him and expect great things of him in the future - like all the other players
